  • Das hat sie tatsächlich schon verkackt. Sie hat die EU von Habecks Plan auf Habecks Plan runtergehandelt und ich liebe alles daran.

  • Yes, but that isn't about investing in businesses, that is about allowing these businesses to buy up land and overcharge for rent. You could very easily solve this by regulation (e.g. capping rents and prohibiting property speculation)

  • This may come as a surprise to you, but I don't copy paste this under every single article in existence that prominently features questionable numbers. Also, I can't recall having seen the claims you mentioned at all and if I did, I would have felt the same way about it.

  • I am really bothered by the fact that claims like this are echoed by media outlets unchecked, while making them seem like journalism by appending 'according to [directly involved party] sources', maybe even 'can't be independently verified'.

I mean, Reuters has confirmed that this strike happened and that the video material is credible. Okay, so far so good. That's bad, and you can report on it and raise questions based off of it. You have something to investigate, you can generate tons of content by discussing adjacent topics, but no, media decides to go for round 2 and report some unverified death toll.

Whether there are 2 or 200 dead children, the story is the same. Why give inherently unreliable sources a stage and credibility by echoing their claim? It's so frustrating that the wider media landscape is based on grabbing peoples attention, rather than good journalism.

  • Hat kurz gedauert

  • Completely fine by me. They need money for their endeavour, I give them money and expect something in return. I see nothing inherently wrong or unfair with that.

Edit: On Anthropics part I mean x)

  • If anyone has anyone's balls, it's the US owning Israels. Virtually all military support for and imports to Israel are coming from the US. This is the one and only reason Trump could snap his fingers and Netanyahu had to bow, even when (parts of) his government strongly opposed.

That state exists because the US want it to.

  • Every day when I go to bed

  • My parents always gave me cooking pots. Small to medium sized ones with two handles are easy to grab and easy to clean. If you need to "use" it repeatedly, you can just put boiling water in it in between uses

  • I think AI is great for code review. It's a best-effort process anyway, so letting an AI loose in addition to a coworker doesn't hurt. So far it beats any human review by far, because it can detect even the most obscure (potential) flaws

  • There is no LibreWolf for Android, there is IronFox tho

  • Jep, SUSE is quite big. Ubuntu is only more popular among private users

  • You could choose between chat and chat + stream ban before, why would you want a stream only ban?

  • Ingl, I saw this one coming, but sometimes you gotta let things happen
