    It is really great for hardware acceleration of stochastic processes for example, which may or may not be AI, but there is a reason we mostly deal with integers in IT: It is much simpler and they are sufficient for a vast amount of use cases.

    Many nations, inside and outside of Europe, pay more attention than ever on reducing their dependency on the US whereever possible, and he and his supporters are the reason for it.

    And the guy who attacked another nation unprovoked and immediatly threatened nuclear retaliation against anyone who intervenes is not 'the head of the West'. It was Putin who did this. Putin and Putin alone is to blame for this. I grew up in a World were Russia was just a kinda crazy place, at least when judging based on viral videos, and nuclear war was an abstract concept from the past. He tore that world order down and I deeply despise him for it.

  • Proton VPN uses the Android killswitch, which prevents any connection not going through the configured VPN on a system level. This comes with the downside that lokal connections do not work as well. Depending on your usecase and POV, this can be a positive or a negative. Proton could probably implement their own killswitch, but note that a non-system killswitch can simply be circumvented - which is probably exactly why they don't offer it (yet).

  • You can totally manage a fleet of Linux devices. Next to all servers run Linux. How the hell would you do that without appropriate tooling? We use Ansible for example - Which certainly isn't a perfect solution, but a working one.

  • You say that, yet Mac and Linux grew quite a bit over the past couple years. It's true, not everyone will drop Windows right after whatever bullshit they announce, but software and platforms are rarely abandonned over night.

  • Ich finde man kann darüber reden, wie viel man bei AU bekommen muss, aber ich wäre viele eher bereit darüber zu reden, wenn die soziale Sicherung bei uns nicht seit Ewigkeiten in ihrer Qualität stagnieren würde.

    Wenn ich mich darauf verlassen kann, dass der Staat jederzeit meinen Rücken hat, falls das Einkommen ausbleibt, muss ich mir auch keine Sorge um Ausfälle machen. Wenn ich aber weiß, dass das mit monatelangen, von Wilkür gesäumten Anträgen zusammenhängt, und man auch prompt versuchen wird mich irgendwo zu verheizen, wogegen ich mich ggf. juristisch wehren muss, will ich verfickt nochmal jeden Cent, den ich kriegen kann.

  • Personally, I found that It works well with Microsoft, Paypal, Google, Shopify and Proton. I was really surprised to find the option on German government sites, worked there as well. Tested in Ungoogled Chromium and Librewolf. The only thing I find dissappointing is adoption
