  • Flush door handles weren't designed to be "fancy", they were designed to be practical, by improving aerodynamics and thus extending range. And Tesla is not even remotely the only ones using them anymore.

  • LOL would advise you to get your head out of the sand and open your eyes to what's happening around you.

  • That's just not true. Music is often uploaded as a background component for a video.

  • He was not always Elon's buddy and he was not a PoS at the time, to my knowledge. In fact he went on Joe Rogan and argued with Tim Poole and defended his liberal policies and trans protections.

    Unfortunately COVID radicalized them both.

  • It was always going to be this way. It didn't take long to see the signs of enshittification on BSky. They were subpoenaed for user info, they banned journalists, implemented age verification, and I left when they started adding link redirects and tracking.

  • YouTube isn't responsible for licensing any music either, but they are responsible for keeping it off their platform, and they've gone to great lengths to achieve this.

  • I mean many of those publishers, like it says in the article, are "high profile" and will have more than enough money to cover a music copyright issue.

But suing Valve means you only need to sue 1 company instead of dozens, and it also makes Valve responsible for keeping the songs out of its entire library of tens of thousands of games.

  • Seriously, this shit should be illegal already

  • True but the attackers exploited SMS in order to gain access, which is notoriously insecure. It's a security vulnerability with no benefit.

  • As far as I know, WhatsApp is very secure. Just not private.

  • One of the concerns: Is it safe to use bridges at all? Who can read what on the server if I am using a bridge?

Fun thing about Matrix is that all the metadata is stored plainly, so who you're talking to and when and how often, is known by the server operator, and subject to subpoenas.

So it depends on what you're bridging, because you're making a redundant record of your communications. So you might be bridging Discord but the Discord server is absolutely the low-hanging fruit there. Signal? Well now you're lowering your privacy and security to the standards of Matrix, which are much lower. Not only that but you're compromising everyone you communicate with.

  • Depends on where you build it but yes, most of the value is typically in the land itself.

  • I live in an area where a lot of 3D-printed houses are going up. They tout the low cost of construction but guess what? All those savings go directly into the pockets of the builders. They still charge market prices for the houses. Because why wouldn't they?

  • Tariffs don't even impact video games, and yet they raised the prices by 33%

  • Back at ya, russkie

  • Exactly. It'll probably run Balatro at 4k/120 just fine but Cyberpunk is going to struggle at anything above 720p30/low

  • Once again, trying to lazily misrepresent my statements. No one said "all Americans are bad". I thought you were done?

  • До свидания 👋

  • you're the one claiming that by winning the electoral college that means America as a whole elected him.

That's literally what that means. This is how elections work. You suggesting otherwise is suggesting that somehow the election was manipulated.

You're the only person lobbing personal attacks and attempting to spread disinformation.
