  • As far as I know, WhatsApp is very secure. Just not private.

  • One of the concerns: Is it safe to use bridges at all? Who can read what on the server if I am using a bridge?

Fun thing about Matrix is that all the metadata is stored plainly, so who you're talking to and when and how often, is known by the server operator, and subject to subpoenas.

So it depends on what you're bridging, because you're making a redundant record of your communications. So you might be bridging Discord but the Discord server is absolutely the low-hanging fruit there. Signal? Well now you're lowering your privacy and security to the standards of Matrix, which are much lower. Not only that but you're compromising everyone you communicate with.

  • Depends on where you build it but yes, most of the value is typically in the land itself.

  • I live in an area where a lot of 3D-printed houses are going up. They tout the low cost of construction but guess what? All those savings go directly into the pockets of the builders. They still charge market prices for the houses. Because why wouldn't they?

  • Tariffs don't even impact video games, and yet they raised the prices by 33%

  • Back at ya, russkie

  • Exactly. It'll probably run Balatro at 4k/120 just fine but Cyberpunk is going to struggle at anything above 720p30/low

  • Once again, trying to lazily misrepresent my statements. No one said "all Americans are bad". I thought you were done?

  • До свидания 👋

  • you're the one claiming that by winning the electoral college that means America as a whole elected him.

That's literally what that means. This is how elections work. You suggesting otherwise is suggesting that somehow the election was manipulated.

You're the only person lobbing personal attacks and attempting to spread disinformation.

  • No, what you said was that the people didn't vote for him.

And you're also not fooling anyone with your personal attacks and accusations of me for things that you yourself are doing.

  • The disinfo campaign where you try to pretend like Americans are better than they are by suggesting Trump was not fairly elected.

  • Sorry russkie, your disinformation campaign won't work here.

  • Except they did. Trump WON the election. This is not that hard to understand.

  • "The people" collectively voted for this.

  • They can if those entities are doing business in California.

  • Yes, well, you are not "the people", you are "a person".

  • Yeah I opened a business as well but quickly realized it's nearly impossible without capitulating to the monoliths that are modern advertising platforms from Meta and Google.

  • You can change your default search provider on any platform. The problem is no one actually does it, and Google is always the default, because they invest billions of dollars in that arrangement.
