I thought Japan had rather strict rules on advertising food products, particularly with scale. This ad has the burgers depicted at all sorts of sizes, from hand, to 3 storey house, to football stadium.
I remember seeing a recent ad for noodles that used photorealistic depictions of their product in the hands of anime characters.
Before your parents go to great expense to move, have a sit down and talk with them about this. Make sure everyone involved knows what to expect beforehand.

As someone who works in customer service, this scenario sounds totally plausible, and would explain why they would schedule a psychological exam.
Their explanation of how their federation works sounds like they went to a lot of effort to recreate how it works for Mastodon, while still maintaining control over everything.
I also like it how in one paragraph they are saying how their system is better, while in the next, they say how they replicate what they just said is bad.
