I love that Japan has this phenomenon and recognizes the concentrated cringe at the same time. What a beautiful country. :') If only they could fix the whole working to death thing I'd go full weeaboo and try to immigrate there.
I hate sleeping with a TV on, and don't have a TV in my bedroom. But if I can't sleep I move to the couch and I can't sleep on the couch if the TV isn't on. I always put on RedLetterMedia. Specifically I shuffle all of the episodes of Best of the Worst.
I cancelled my prime sub a long time ago. Probably eight or nine years ago. Amazon isn't even a good place to buy things anymore. So many knockoffs and counterfeits mixed in with the real stuff. The only time I even use it is when I get a gift card, which is often unfortunately. My wife does a ton of studies and they seem to all pay in Amazon gift cards.
I don't mind. I've made those jokes about myself for most of my life.
