My two brain cells are happy with a program that doesn’t take a degree to operate when I just need to break edit my fstab or some config files

And they’re taking the human, creative jobs in a lot of ways. Not the menial jobs that many would probably rather vanish given a proper social safety net like UBI. They’re taking the jobs that define our culture and society. The artists, musicians, writers, those that entertain us in general, are having an increasingly hard time because some derivative AI slop costs a company pennies. “Derivative” being a very nice word for “stolen from these artists in the first place…”

In other words, AI is displacing the exact kind of avenues many humans would prefer if they had the time. Okay, got the rant out of my system for now…

I do sometimes wonder about that and ADD. I feel like my brain handles those immediate couple moments with a lot of clarity on how to react. I once knocked a can of pop off the edge of my desk and right onto my computer (with a mesh top), and I was already standing up to unplug the computer and flip it upside down to prevent dripping inside before the can even hit, just like an immediate processing and understanding of what the next step needs to be. Feels like those are the moments I can lock in and actually get things done. Suppose that’s why I have to create a crisis to actually be productive, like leaving work till the last moment. Boy is it a rush the like 5% of the time it’s helpful!

I swear, billboards should be illegal. Both for the distraction they are, and the utter eyesore. Hopefully mainly a US thing. That and traffic signs that have a whole paragraph that you’ll never be able to read safely

Not much a fan of DS2 personally, DS1 stole my heart more than any, but Majula is just so lovely. That beautiful pensive, melancholy music, the gorgeous area and view, the characters there, and how it feels more… part of the world? There’s something about the other hub areas that feel less natural to me, like they’re a separate area of sorts, but Majula feels more like a lived-in part of the world in a way. Much as I love DS1 (and BB), Majula just nails it

I don’t press my brakes too hard on average either, might as well get rid of 3/4 of em

I give a thumbs down to any Teslas I see. Whether or not they notice I have no idea, but it’s satisfying for sure!
