  • Crazy that I've been downvoted for offering factual help, while the comment which is provably incorrect is up voted

  • Yeah. People can avoid all this nonsense by installing one simple app... Duck duck go browser.

You don't have to use the browser. It just sits in the background quietly blocking tracking requests from other apps.

It's absolutely horrifying on first use to see how egregious tracking is.

  • I'm using Sync to write this comment :)

  • Same. I don't agree with Starmer on everything (eg his cannabis policy), but it's nice to have a grownup in charge again. Instead of a performing monkey desperate for a new sound bite so we forget last week's disaster.

  • It's very basic 'think of the children' rhetoric.

Our emotions are more easily manipulated in this way, because generally people are hard wired to protect babies and children.

So by associating trans people with paedophiles, right wingers are able to more easily hijack into what would otherwise be rational people. It also makes it more difficult to debate against because nobody wants to be labelled as someone who wants to hurt kids.

  • Steam doesn't kick me out of my single player games when my internet connection drops for a split second. I quite like that

  • My dad is a pensioner now, and got put in a lovely bungalow by local housing association. It came with with a lovely garden, and he was really excited by the prospect of a cherry tree.

Well, the cherries are ready, and the birds ate the lot!

  • My initial response is prob as sarcastic as the others but a thought just occurred to me.

Skyrim, v1. The og release, before all the mods and bug fixes.

Undoubtedly still a better game than Star field. But was it the Skyrim we revere today? Will Starfield be transformed into something fun over the next decade?

What am I on about. Almost certainly not lol.

  • Not fucking up the f/c Fallout London mod would've also gotten me to play more (or at least, again). I played & enjoyed FO4 on PS, bought it again for Steam specifically for the new mod.

It'll sit unplayed until the mod is ready!

  • Reading the article, this went exactly as I imagined it would. Equal parts hilarious and horrifying!

  • Makes sense, cheers for the info.

  • I've always thought... Why can't we put a perspex dome or something like thick clingfilm over a landfill site, and tap the methane?

  • Yeah I'm the same. I've got DDG set as my default search, if the results aren't useful then I go to google as backup.

  • Is it just me, or has autocorrect on phones also gotten way, way worse? When would I ever want to type 'thbnks'?

  • Whenever I release music myself, I actively block it in Russia, because they relentlessly steal my trance / freeform releases and upload them in warez sites.

Of course geoblocking can be circumvented by a determined pirate but it helps to not be on their radar in first place as a lesser known artist.

As an example, once I released a freeform album. Freeform is a very niche, small scene. It was on Russian forums within a couple of days. Fortunately one of my fans notified me, I had a Russian friend contact the site on my behalf to explain that I'm a poor struggling artist, and they're literally taking money out of my pocket; to my surprise they agreed to take the links down.

  • I find talented / strong women to be hot as hell, is that sexist? I'd happily date a woman who can bench me.

  • I've had this before, except I was drunk, and it was a kebab.

I really, really do not like kebabs... my friend convinced me to get one. This kebab was like it had been sent from the heavens, I was in shock, never had I experienced a kebab like this.

The next day, I messaged my friend asking where we had the kebab... neither of us could remember. I had a vague idea of what the door looked like, we searched every time we were in the city centre for many years, but in vain.

  • Firefox user for many, many, many years. I tried chrome once and was dismayed at how sluggish it was, hogging ram & cpu.

FF just gets better and better with every update. I'm amazed that more people aren't using it.
