Born to Squint, Forced to See ⚜️

  • Its a violation of international law to denaturalize a citizen and leave them stateless. Although Im not sure international law or human rights mean anything to this administration

Assumedly if that actually happened, hopefully people from the US would be eligible for asylum in a lot of countries just like when other countries commit human rights violations against their citizens

  • I bet the conservatives will boycott NFL football after the Super Bowl all the way through late July. Thatll show em

  • I can think of another wannabe global dictator that famously studied art in Vienna

  • Fuck Stan Kroenke

  • Plot twist: Kyle is self hating gay and looking to blame it on tap water

  • Well we all saw him molest that one flag

  • While he offered them “total safety”, the president also suggested some of the oil firms present did not need the US government’s help. “These are people that drill oil in some pretty rough places,” he said. “I could say a couple of those places make Venezuela look like a picnic.”

Surely he must be talking about Port Arthur, TX and SW Louisiana

  • "This isn't the department of baking cookies," one source said. "This is the Department of Homeland Security, where you can be deported from the country. And we're now employing people who are not equipped to tie their own shoelaces”

    And giving them firearms

  • Demoted is a disingenuous thing to have in the title when she still has the position:

Hidden within the executive order on the structure of the Mayor’s office is a significant though subtle shift in the hierarchy of the NYPD. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, the symbol of national security astride a city that is undeniably the golden target of international terrorism, has been quietly downgraded (another development that the media seems to have missed). Contrary to long-time practice the Commissioner will no longer report directly to Mamdani but to a deputy mayor.

  • In other news, water is still wet

  • Late stage capitalism is all about putting the cart before the horse

Consumers are the financial driver of everything (especially in a modern service-based economy), but everyone is rushing to bleed the consumer dry to the fullest extent possible. There is no business to be done without consumption, so when consumers are bled dry they can no longer consume and everything fails.

The shortsightedness of capitalists in this process is that they think all will be dandy if they can get enough out of the consumer before the whole process grinds to a halt from people being depression-era destitute

The reality is that if your overall goal is to keep the cart moving, its best not to kill the horse. Going a half mile forward at the expense of the horse means you and your cart will be stuck in the middle of nowhere. The cart being full or empty wont matter once it cant move anymore

Theyre building AI bullshit for consumers and companies that provide services to consumers, but building the AI bullshit will price out consumers (especially if it ever takes real jobs at scale). Who will they market the AI shit to then? The end result is that it will all be for nothing and everyone loses

  • Tbf I doubt rich people own or control the esteemed WTFinvestigations.blog website

  • For…. Science?

    Edit:

The damage to her scalp and vascular network was so severe that restoring the ear at the time was impossible, so the procedure was performed to save the patient’s aural orifice so it could be reattached to her head later.

Okay, but its going to be really hard to find socks in the meantime. Also, dont the hairs that allow you to hear not grow back? I assume the ear will never be useable again. Although I guess the aesthetic appeal is still there

  • Technically people can swear on whatever they want to. They dont have to swear on a religious text. They could swear on the constitution or whatever. Its just general practice and up to the preference of the individual being sworn in

  • It actually derives from the phrase “the rotten apple quickly spoils his companion”, which is more to your point

  • Moderator: Does anyone think women should not be allowed to vote?

    Only Andrew raises his hand.

Moderator: What do you think of Adolf Hitler?

Andrew: I’m in favor of a strong executive. I think we should have a stronger executive branch... I’m very pro-strong executive, strong leader, strong man. I support national sovereignty, and Hitler was a nationalist. He was like, we have to take Germany back for Germans. And I feel like we should do that in America. We should take America back for our native population. So, I’m not an expert on Hitler by any means, but as far as nationalism is concerned, I’m all that.

Moderator: What do you think of Jewish people?

Andrew: I would say a force for evil. I don’t see why we support Israel. I think Israel’s a very evil state. The genocide in Gaza, killing all these poor people. And the only reason we really support them is because they are the biggest donors. We have AIPAC, and these are all Jewish-run organizations.

Moderator: Let me clarify that. Andrew, you think the Jewish people are a force for evil?

Andrew: Yes, sir. It doesn’t bother me if it’s true. Those slurs, if you’re racist or whatever, that just rolls off my back… This is my country, my people have been here since the American Revolution, so I say what I want to.

  • Is it weirder that these religious people posted stuff about it being jesus’s birthday on the christian holiday celebrating jesus’s birthday, or weirder that the majority of people celebrate a religious holiday as a secular holiday and then get confused when religious people celebrate the religious part?

Like I dont want to live in a christian theocracy, but also this seems very par for the course of christmas
