...thats kind of how branding has always been under capitalism to a certain extent. Get people to think your brand is the best so they buy more instead of whatever is convenient. It has definitely gotten more extreme but i think that has more to do with the applications of what we are talking about.
Cell phones are embedded into nearly every aspect of our lives. So the brand symbolism carries that weight for people too.
Previously, brands like cocacola still had a death grip on society but it was one specific sector. So while it created a sort of cult vibe, it was definitely different.
I mean, isnt that the entire point of Apple? Brand recognition and percieved status attributed to said brand. Its like rappers and gucci belts or country artists and ford pickups
They keep anywhere from 4 to a dozen or so cops stationed at all the schools in my hometown. They are called Safety Resource Officers or something but they are usually state police. They're billed as being there in case of emergency. Typically they just harrass minorities and shutdown and unsanctioned student movements like strikes or walk outs. As we've seen, they dont historically do much of anything in a real emergency.
What do you mean? I know a lot of MAGAts that truly believe it was faked but are all in on the American Expirement. In fact, the only people ive ever met that thought it was faked were "patriots"

Historically, the US Empire has swept this type of shit back under the rug over and over again. I would honestly be surprised if anything happens locally. As I'm sure many of you ae aware and probably tired of hearing, The US was the inspiration for the nazis. From Jim Crow to the Trail of Tears and bounties put on "undesirables."
These people may be charged abroad, but as we've also seen over and over, that doesnt mean much for their class. We can only hope that the empire falls. That is the only way for them to be held accountable
