Totally agree on China and Taiwan. China is just waiting until they are sure they can invade without a lot of international attention (which trump is not helping)
Whats the Iran Isreal bit? Something new I missed? Or just the general tensions and on and again off again spots?
Thanks for the advice. I think ive been convinced to wait and see where the steam machine pricing falls.
I was thinking pre-built just to have something easier and focus on learning the software side. But yea lots of comments saying it'll save a lot of money so I'll make a while project of it.
I saved someone's life in the back woods while backpacking.
We tried to cross a water crossing we should NOT have tried to cross, whitewater and way too fast. A few folks came down the other side of the trail and we eventually rigged our bear ropes into a hand hold across the river, maybe 40' wide. Took about 10min to cross and I almost got swept away. First one from their group to cross got stuck, lost her footing, and was holding onto the rope with like 3 fingers. I rushed out and grabbed her pack. Not sure how I got back there so quick but hauld her back up and helped the rest cross. When I got back to the other side my legs were cut TF up from the rocks.
Yea ive run into this problem a lot. If there was some ethical and green EFT that are easy to ID I would buy them in a second.
Ill invest in a stock only if its not tied to oil in any way that I can ascertain, isnt totally corrupt (facebook/nestle are out), and is American owned -since all my stuff is here and the last time I did out of country trades I fucked up my taxes and had extra fees because im too stupid to parse complicated tax law and too stubborn to pay someone to do that for me.
EFTs are hard. Frequently I'll get through a long list of the holdings and then, bam tesla, and im done with it. But Ill go in and buy small amounts of the direct stocks I like.
I haven’t made any crazy gains. Covid wiped out my first year or so of gains and then I was doing great until Trump started up.
Ill have issues with super super spicy peppers or hot sauce. But generally I have to actively seek out something that spicy. Just some ghost pepper hot sauce won't do much to my system even if its spicy going down. Carolina reapers will do it.
Growing my own scorpion peppers this year. Never had a truly fresh one before.
I did do that a bit. Generally I preferred to just keep it under the rain fly though to grab stuff if needed. And that makes pack up in the am much quicker anyway.
Ended up just not caring about the insects after the first few weeks.
Switching to hammocking made a huge difference for me!
Eventually I did the AT and hammocked almost every night. Only drawback was leaving my pack outside overnight and picking off the spiders and insects in the am.
I met a good chunk of Europeans and Aussies while thru hiking on the AT a few years ago.
All of those folks did not have full accommodations booked in advance, that would have been impossible. They seemed to find that pretty normal and were not turned away.
Soooo Elantris is by far my least favorite cosmere book. To me it seems like B. Sando Sanderson is still finding his voice and style. I did every other cosmere book and came back to Elantris when I had nothing else, sometime after the release of Words of Radiance.
You don't need to know anything from Elantis for any other book to make sense. There's some behind the scenes stuff in Elantis that is worth knowing for future speculation about where B. Money is going with it all. But it's also stuff that you probably won't understand without a second reading or having read a lot of other cosmere already.
I'd say read everything else you'd like to first and circle back when you are ready.
Stormlight archive is my favorite. Aramcum Unbound is also one i keep coming back to - but be very careful of spoilers with that one!
Personally I think Warbreaker is way more essential than Elantris. And I think those are Brando Sando's weakest.
I got our oil removed and heat pumps installed through masssave last fall.
I ended up getting 5 quotes that varies from $20k-50k. Two of the installers wanted to do ducted systems and eventually we ended up around $30k with a good installer.
We paid the 10k as a down payment in November. Got the 0% interest loan about $150/month. We just got the rebate check in the mail. And 150/mo plus the new electric rate is still cheaper than oil. Long term I'm hoping it will pay for itself.
Havnt played one in a while. I do like devil may cry and GoW tho. What about you?
