Gordy was moved up to an assistant to the upper echelons in 1958. This was right at the time Henry Moyle almost bankrupted the cult with massively overspending on building construction. Combined with the Baseball Baptism scandal they need somebody for damage control.
Gordy was a journalist by training who excelled at propaganda. He was a master of the craft. He buried the baseball baptism scandal and hid the financial records. For this in 1962 he was promoted up.
He was likely heavily involved in hiding the rampant sexual abuse issues in the cult. Hiding and flat out lying about how how much money the cult had amassed and excelled at being the slimy smiling bastard distracting everyone from the facts.
Companies who have checklist to make sure they get "all" of the company property back are awesome. It's always made by HR with no clue what the job entails. I returned all of the company property listed items on the checklist.
Last layoff - real human beings- "Do you have time to drive to the office for a meeting? We are so sorry, business isn't going well an we are having to cut whole departments. You are laid off the end of the week plus severence. Return the truck laptop, phone etc then. We'll transfer the phone number to you, the supplier contracts etc that you brought in, we will sign off to you as well."
Layoff before slimy corporate shills (all laid off a year later) teams meeting labeled as business discussion". Surprise, HR is on the call. You are not allowed to drive the company vehicle. At the end of this call IT will cut off the laptop phone and we'll arrange for for someone to go to you house and collect company property.
So I drove the truck for 4 hours to collect all the stuff from my 3 offices. Then grabbed a guy from the last stop to drive the truck back after I finished cleaning it out at home. While I was driving I called up the new job I was supposed to start 2 months later and said, "Hey you guys OK will me starting next month instead?" I then took a nice 3 week vacation. Getting severance from a job I was going to quit, chef's kiss .
There's a vast difference between advertising a good product that is useful to hyping trash.
Good products at a reasonable price usually require a brief introduction but quickly snowball into customer based word-of-mouth sales.
Hype is used to push an inferior or marginally useful product at a higher price.
Remember advertising is expensive. The money to pay for it has to come from somewhere. The more they push a product the higher the margin the company/investors expect to make on its sales.
This is why if I see more than one or two ads for a product it goes on my mental checklist of shit not to buy.
Assuming human intelligence naturally follows a normal distribution model plus add in confounding factors like: malnutrition, chemicals, abuse, etc. that are known to degrade human reasoning. Reasoning is further restricted by limiting access to education and extensive false propaganda. These factors flattens and shift the distribution curve to the left.
The millions of people who voted for him are morons what are easily manipulated by their ignorance and fear.
This has always been the Achilles heal of a democratic systems.
There is only so much reserve equipment that the utility services can keep in stock. So it doesn't really matter where the first wave of attacks hit, as long as it does extensive damage that draws down the stocked up supplies. Russia is forced to use up the stock to get the power back on to the affected regions.
Then hitting the better defended locations in the Moscow/St. Petersburg become a several week/months blackout instead of a minor inconvenience of a few hours or days.
If the regions hit are also areas for refineries and equipment manufacturing for the war it's a continuation of infrastructure degradation not terror bombing like the Russians are doing.
No manure is a waste product for crop production. It is extensively utilized in conventional agriculture. Organic production unfortunately uses it inefficiently.
There are some pretty complicated biological processes to explain this but I'll try to keep it short.
First off manure is a not balanced fertilizer. It's got two much of some nutrients and not enough of others . This imbalance causes two issues: it delays the release of nutrients and causes excess unused nutrients to buildup in the soil.
The nutrient composition in manure varies widely as well. There are many variables that can affect this. It's pretty wild when you get the laboratory test back.
Most of the nitrogen in the original food source for the animal is lost by denitrification before the next years crop can utilize it. There flat out is not enough N in the manure to raise our crops without synthetic fertilizer
Application of manure acidifies the soil. Acidic soil locks up nutrient via chemical reactions.
The most efficient and environmentally friendly way to fertilize crops is with a combination manure, compost, synthetic fertilizer and covercrops. The addition of synthetic fertilizers allows farmers to reduce the amount of manure they apply and balance out the nutrients ratios. It also reduces the total need of synthetic fertilizer and increases the soil microbial activity. The covercrops capture and hold nutrients over the winter and minimizing the runoff and inputs for the following year.
In my area the self checkout systems at the grocery store often fritz out an don't register the item. This is even after they beep. It's truly wonderful. I consistently get 50% or more of the items in my cart for free. Nothing they can do to me either. They have me on video scanning every item. If their system buggers up the total it's on them.
If they want somebody to catch computer errors then there's a thing called "pay a employee."
The U.S and the E.U. could have easily pushed Russia out of Ukraine in the first 6 months of the war. Hell they could have kicked them out of Crimea a long time ago.
Instead they gave Ukraine just enough weapons to turn the war into a stalemate but not absolutely crush the Russian army. Was it was a fear of nuclear retaliation or a deliberate ploy to bleed the Russian military stockpile dry?
In the end the result is the same: Ukrainians suffer for European decisions again.
Almost there..
A small cordless drill with a torque setting plus a driver set. A short flexible bit holder for the tight spots.
Drop the torque setting all the way down then use the drill for most of the work. Then finish tightening with a reacheting screwdriver.
