  • Welp, that explains the parasites.

  • This won't change as long as property ownership and property renting is unified. There's just to much of a business incentive from renting, even if it takes decades to make it back. Worst that can happen is that it can sell it back to a market that criminalizes homelessness instead of treating it or its causes.

  • The threat of AI is not that it's a cold, calculating, unfeeling killer, it's that it can convince us about bullshit on demand by fooling our expectations.

  • It's a tickle-me-dragon-tail!

  • YOU FOOL! He's going to think you are a peach now, RUN!

  • So a hairdryer?

Obvious response: "Haha, it doesn't get that hot!"

And you know because they told you up to how much it remains effective.

  • The only thing that might predispose women is when they get pregnant. Most forms of hunting don't require excessive strength. This is not speculation, prehistoric people do not give a shit about your value system or how it imposes itself on science. Animals in animal world be animals.

  • His voters know. Or they are idiots. The propaganda brigades can appeal to their ignorance as cult members, on the other side they have to appeal to "both sides are just as bad" indifference.

  • Sorry, I don't speak .ml

  • No, no, no, you see, you should see Gaza as the only issue and ignore all the other issues because

    <insert word salad here>

    . Awaiting check, komrade.

The tactic is just about the same as the MAGA side, try to get people emotionally involved without thinking and lock them into a state so emotionally charged they are unwilling to back down.

  • They are, however, exceptionally adept at political speechwriting.

  • Because corporations own you and this means they can pressure how you vote in key states.

  • Prometheus.

The Romans/Greek gods were as shitty as gods usually are. Sisyphus wasn't so much punished for his crimes as he was for being a smartass to the gods. Sisyphus literally stopped everyone on Earth from dying, and because Ares the God of War complained that wars were no longer fun because no one died, it was undone. The claim that Sysiphus suffered his punishment because of how he toyed with people's lives is gaslighting, the gods did that all the time. Sysiphus' biggest crime was not being another god.

We do not share his punishment thankfully because gods are fiction. Unfortunately, there's no shortage of Sysiphuses or enemies of Sysiphuses with the same or more power that would either act the same or worse.

  • What people fail to see is that we need billionaires to consume all the wealth we make, otherwise we wouldn't know what to spend it on. /s

  • An ode to the increasingly large gap in education within the US. You reap what you sow, and that lack of worker rights and education along with the promotion and celebration of extreme competition is showing. Not that it isn't costly, a good education doesn't even seem to last a generation nowadays.

  • To think, all they had to do was appeal to the lurking bigotry within societies to bring them out and normalize that sort of language. They are sort of screwed if they think they aren't sliding into a world where the evangelicals being radicalized and increasingly in control of the nation financing and supplying it will come asking for their pound of flesh when the shift into a theocratically-narrative-driven oligarchy is established, and then take the whole body.

  • Literally an appeal to terrorism, it was the right move.
