Something about the way the media latched on to the fake transgender bullet story with the only source being Stephen Crowder, the way the media glazed Kirk like he wasn't a fucking Nazi, and the unhinged reactions + the complete capitulation of the Dems and crying about civility has finally broke something within me
This isn't even the worst thing thats happened in the last few years but I truly sincerely cannot take it anymore, the average American is so eager to throw us (trans people) under the bus that it's not even worth it for me personally to try to stick it out here.
Yeah I'm learning about all the hoops you have to jump through just to get the insultingly low amount of unemployment. It's very evident that this is the point, to demean and degrade us and to discourage getting unemployment at all.

Been sounding the alarm about surveillance capitalism via tech and the importance of privacy for ten years now, people are finally starting to come around.
Also, isn't your tech work culture even worse over there than ours (in terms of long hours worked)
Frankly, I was putting in 50-60 hours/week at my last gig and I could definitely handle more tbh
