Just a weirdly mystical asshole looking for meaning in the meaningless, silence in the jumble of voices, sight in darkness, finding the rhythm in chaos.

  • Yes, thank you! Ubuntu, in my opinion, is not a beginner friendly experience. It also tends to break easily, at least in my opinion. I've had ongoing problems with Ubuntu, as soon as I installed Fedora all the problems went away.

  • People are fucking assholes, I just have to take it in stride and block liberally.

  • Yes, I certainly believe so. There's also the matter of Eucharistic miracles, if you believe in that sort of thing, which I do. Granted, I've never cared for the notion that the Eucharist could be received "unworthily" either. Seems to me like the pure, unfiltered, unadulterated body and blood of Christ would cleanse anything it touched along the way, especially if you believe in first class relics.

Not sure if that makes me a heretic or not, can't say I care honestly.

  • A Nurse in a shitty New York hospital...

    Fuck.

  • it's done!

Is there an Episcopalianism community on Lemmy?

  • Gnome is where the heart is for me! It's just so customizable, the extension framework is such a cool concept. And yes, I know, KDE has a lot of bells and whistles, and I think think that's why I dislike it. It's cluttered, Gnome is simple. I like the polish and the smoothness, KDE is nice for people who want more but I'm happy with less. Thanks for coming to my TED talk!

  • Same. I used to like the thrill of shit breaking at the drop of a fart, but now I just want something that runs a good markdown compatible writing software.

  • This just completely horrified a whole table of people. Con-fucking-gratulations. Bravo.

  • What the Hell happens if you have neither?

  • Can one just remove GSF and bypass this? Or is it something going to be built into Android going forward? Genuinely curious.

  • Most fucking underrated comment on this site, OMG...

  • I manage to find the issue, it was my USB drive. The machine is currently humming along with Fedora 42, I'm just now installing Nvidia drivers.

  • It turned out to be my crappy, no name USB. All OSes boot fine now, even 64-bit. I love when computer shit is simple.

Linux wins the day, viva la Tux!

  • All checked but I am going to try a different USB.

  • Original in as far as I can tell.

  • Linux @lemmy.ml

My new (to me) Thinkpad T61P is refusing to boot my USB with Fedora 42 on it.

  • Thoughts and clots!

  • Fedora is quite unremarkable, no issues of late. Or ever, for that matter. It's glorious.
