  • In my opinion SO has been replaced by forges discussions/issues. Whenever I have an issue with some library or piece of software, I will always check their repo to see if someone is going through the same thing or how they solved it.

When I tried to engage with SO it was a pain in the ass so I just stopped answering/asking.

  • Well, hopefully people will install the plugin, right?

  • Thank you for the detailed reply.

I am indeed considering using the peerbanhelper. I will install it and see how it works.

I didn't say DHT was strictly something specific to Stremio. I mentioned it was what was being suggested by people trying to solve the issue, but I indeed didn't find anything to support it.

I changed the upload choking algorithm, thank you for the suggestion.

I am aware of !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com but I'd rather avoid the AI slop.

  • I used Stremio for a while and then I discovered it doesn't seed and it is just a leech. Since then we have a Jellyfin server at home and we are able to watch everything in 4K without having to worry if the movie will play smoothly.

If I could, I would stop seeding to all the Stremio clients out there. Whenever someone brings up the seed issue most of the people say they don't care.

  • Our neighbour unit is sitting empty since we moved last july. It is a 3 bedroom unit.

  • Y'all are forgetting how hostile Mastodon users can be. Personally I feel a little bit scared of posting anything there.

  • Thank you for the reply! Do you mind sharing where you got the files from?

  • Did you print the parts yourself or you got them from somewhere else? I want to go 10'' but it seems a little bit hard to find the parts I have in mind here in Canada

  • Have you considered that maybe you could have worded your comment in a different way without just saying it was "stupid"? You are correct about Librewolf but there was no need to reply it that way

  • What the hell are “co-leaders”?

Did the searching for you. No offense intented, but a lot of people don't know either. Other green parties of the world have more than one leader (ex. UK).

  • More like one of many developers

  • Sorry but in this house we avoid jwz's opinions on things like the plague

He's like the Morrissey of foss

  • He's someone that was a developer for Netscape and Firefox. I used to follow him but stopped doing so and now I find him quite annoying, haha

I agree with him in many things but he's always replying people like he's better than everyone which makes me think he must be a very shitty boss considering he's the owner of a club.

  • It seems you care enough to make your first comment on Lemmy!

What the heck people, would you interact with people like this in person?

  • Thank you for getting out of your way and explaining it here.

  • I use Librewolf as my daily driver, however it breaks a lot of websites. We had to purchase plane tickets yesterday and to use regular Firefox.

I was super hyped for Ladybird but there was this weird thing regarding pronouns on their docs (last year?) and no matter the outcome, I just decided to not follow it anymore.

I have Chromium installed for things that break even on regular Firefox and for comparing websites when I need.

On mobile (grapheneOS), I am currently using Firefox Nightly, I think because it was the only one I was able to install extensions from custom repositories, I am not sure if that's still the case. I know I can (and should use) Vanadium, but I always miss my FF extensions when I do it. I play a lot of things so I love when I am automatically redirected from Fandom to a Breeze wiki instance, for example.

I never tried any other browsers of the list, and honestly I am very curious on the differences between Librewolf and Waterfox. Wasn't able to do the research by myself yet.

  • Again??? Isn't this like, the third time they do this?

  • I am sorry to necro this post from a month ago but wanted to say I really appreciated the time and effort you put on this answer.

I have been using Logseq for a few years now and in my case collaboration is welcome. Me and my spouse are using AnyType for this currently (We tried using Vikunja and Planka but didn't like them). I thought about having a shared Logseq graph but I have been having issues with the Logseq git plugin and I abhor the idea of uploading our personal notes to GitHub.

I searched about Standard Notes and it seems they even got purchased by Proton last year, but as soon as I open their webpage I got greeted by at least 5 AI images.

One that I heard about recently is Joplin. It is very similar to Evernote.
