  • People covered in charcoal and crying. New kink unlocked.

  • So weird. When I click on the link, it also comes up empty. But if I replace reddit with reveddit in the original url, it works.

    Here's a screen grab.

  • Agreed, grounding as a punishment seems wrong. Use it as an opportunity for developing his wisdom. He knows better now. And there was probably a little voice telling him before it happened that it was stupid. He should learn to listen to that voice. Tell him that even though you think it was reckless, that you are grateful for him coming to you and you know that it couldn't have been easy.

  • I should have been more clear. I posted the article as an example of what I understood you were pointing at.

When I said "you", I should have said the author of the article. I wasn't being clear enough.

I think your take is right on the money.

  • This is the absolute worst instance of what you're talking about that I've seen. I have no idea how you can say he advocated Christianity at his best. He was an effective political organizer of the conservative youth movement able to take oppressive messaging and wrap it in the vaneer of liberalism and Christian marginalization. He did this for some very powerful and monied institutions. He created a monster.

  • Far less chaos than I was expecting.

  • Freedom with their exception.

  • Doctors regularly Google stuff. Their training isn't in memorizing everything, but in contextualizing data, making decisions based upon the evidence and risk, and communicating that decision to the patient in a way that the patient can understand while allowing the patient to maintain bodily autonomy.

When patients Google symptoms they have no understanding of the disease, it's prevalence in the community, it's long term effects, and it's risk profile. It's why medicine uses scientific data to make decisions but not a science itself.

  • According to a preliminary internal report circulated inside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, federal and local officials recovered ammunition with the rifle that appeared to be engraved with statements “expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology.” But a senior law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the investigation cautioned that report had not been verified by A.T.F. analysts, did not match other summaries of the evidence, and might turn out to have been misread or misinterpreted. In fast-moving investigations, such status reports are not made public because they often contain a mixture of accurate and inaccurate information.

  • This reads as a confession. I always assumed it was a cat girl, but now we've got a name. We need an address and we've got her!

  • It's amazing that if you acknowledge that:

    1. AI has some utility and
    2. The (now tiresome and sloppy) tests they're using doesn't negate 1

You are now an AI evangelist. Just as importantly, the level of investment into AI doesn't justify #1. And when that realization hits business America, a correction will happen and the people who will be effected aren't the well off, but the average worker. The gains are for the few, the loss for the many.

  • Sure. Those people are going to misinterpret his statement as, "He got what he deserved", but the fucking company has to know that's not what he did! Its not like the people criticizing him are MSNBC viewers, so from a pure business view, there's nothing to lose by just being like, "He answer a question and never once called for violence. Go away."

    Instead, they fire him.
