Channels with absolutely zero drama that are still active and I would describe as " interesting content made by someone who cares about it" :
cracking the cryptic: solving sudoku puzzles twice daily
chessnetwork: explaining famous chess matches and occasionally playing online chess, but with none of the bro culture that has grown up around chess recently
Folding ideas: great video essays about film or modern phenomena like NFTs
Technology connections: already reccommended, but in depth explanations about how electronics work
Language Jones: videos about linguistics and learning new languages
Wrath of the righteous mentioned!!! I love that game but I kept getting through the first act, wishing I had made a different character, and then starting over.
Especially for someone whose whole identity is based on growing up as a good ol' Appalachian boy, it's pretty weird to say he's learned much of anything about the struggles of working families from his wife's experiences. Unless --gasp-- perhaps he's exaggerated the experiences of his childhood?
Specifically, it's percent of adults who have attempted, not completed. I don't think anyone in this thread is suggesting it's the latter, but that was my first thought when I saw the statistic so I thonk it's an important thing to note.
Yeah, I am, but I don't want to put too much weight on my own experience. I got my PhD last year, so I went from living paycheck to paycheck on a grad student stipend to having a real job making decent money. Many other people are not doing as well as they were, so I don't want my own anecdotal evidence to cloud my perception
I'm a college professor that uses BB and try to make things as easy to access as possible. The same assignments and information can be found in multiple places in the course, i avoid using the jankiest Blackboard applications, I set things up so that text is visible without having to click through another link, etc. But BlackBoard doesn't make it easy. We're switching to Blackboard Ultra this Fall, which I think does have some improvements, especially in the UI department, but I'm doubtful it'll be much better.
It definitely wouldn't be the left image. With legs like those, you could never pull the pants up past the first (or I guess technically last) level of branching. It would either be the big pants or a large number of seperate, smaller pants on each of the lowest branches.
Even more accurate is to say that he paid the salaries of a large number of animal "house workers" hence their catchphrase "It's a living!" They all earned their living off of that one guy's income
Yeah I used to love this guy's world record videos, like the ones for DOOM and Goldeneye. He was basically doing the same thing as SummoningSalt but it was entertaining. Then he just became a drama channel which I am not at all interested in.
