  • Yeah I guess a solution that reduces food waste while also being safe for people with milk allergies and intolerances would be to slap a big ass "contains milk" sticker on the label, maybe covering up the barcode so that 1) it can't be sold without the sticker, and 2) they can sell it at a discount. But that's probably bad for costco's image or whatever

  • No, what they're saying is that their situation can't get much worse than it already is

  • Maybe not the actual biggest, but the loss of pirated material that i feel the most sad about is The Trove. The Trove was a website with a huge list of downloadable PDFs of source books for tabletop RPGs. I got the pdfs for everything DND, and also tried a bunch of other games I'd never heard of with a few friends. It also had downloads for other books and documents but I only used it for RPGs. I think it went down in 2019 or so.

  • Reminds me of the beach scene in Top Secret!

  • So-called "originalist" judges rub their hands together and do that evil grin when they get a chance to reinterpret laws in ways that benefit their political allies.

  • The ultimate centrist

  • This whole time, I've been seeing West on polls and assuming Kanye West was still on the ballot

  • I found this video super fascinating. After watching, I completely understand how complex the problem is, but my first thought was surprise that you'd need AI to solve it. Anyways, now that they have a framework for this, maybe someone can refine the code enough to be able to make like, a 100 or 500 piece puzzle with 2 unique solutions. This could be like, an actual product on store shelves someday.

  • That's Jack from Lost. Totally not related to the meme, idk why they used this image lol. I believe this is the episode where he becomes a drunk and tries to convince everyone that they need to go back to the island

  • You may want to use a higher resolution image if you want to demonstrate this effectively

  • Thanks for all the updates!

  • I'm sure that's part of it. I think also the last Fyre festival became such a sensation that people actually did wish they had gone just to be able to say they were there. For people with lots of money and nothing better to do, maybe thats all that matters

  • Fascinating, thank you for expanding on this!

  • I recently learned that the guy that wrote this song is Neil Cicierega, who is also responsible for Potter Puppet Pals AND makes music under the title of Lemon Demon, which I had independently started listening to a few years ago. Funny how one guy is responsible for so many things that I've enjoyed over the years

  • Sowwy

  • A few weeks ago I stopped at a mcdonalds and caught what looked like the manager packing burgers with his bare hands. Like, grabbing the patty, bun, lettuce, everything without gloves. I tried to take a picture but he saw me staring and put some gloves on.

  • Aside from that, if all the current waterfront property goes underwater, then previously undesirable land will slowly become more valuable, once we know where coastlines will land (it depends on when and at what temperature warming starts to flatten out). When that happens, it becomes another avenue for wealth transfer to the rich.

  • For me, learning to manage my life in a way that works with my ADHD. For example, if I learn I need to do something, and it's something I can do now, I get up and do it. If I don't, I'm likely to forget or put it off too long. Finding ways to build routines, like I suddenly decided I should lick my teeth when getting ready for bed, this makes me realize they are dirty, and I feel forced to brush my teeth before I can sleep. Before that I wasn't brushing every day. You have to figure out what ADHD prevents you from doing like a normal person, and plan around it.

I don't medicate right now because I have enough control to be able to function at work and my day to day life without it. But I've also had success in the past from either Vyvanse and Strattera (took them at different periods in my life)
