I’m not a contributor to LibreWolf so I can’t speak with authority on it but I can’t imagine that they are so different from Firefox that they wouldn’t be able to just merge 99% of updates from FF with minimal effort.
Librewolf doesn’t just block Mozilla telemetry, it also has an easy to understand default for cookies and privacy settings so someone who isn’t a computer expert can rely on the librewolf’s defaults to keep trackers from being able to build a profile on you.
Sounds like a scam to get VC money before it eventually turns back into old digg/current Reddit. I wouldn’t join it if I was looking for a good experience, I’d just stick with Reddit.
We still play UO every night. Historians have their Base Assault server going during the afternoons and there is usually a CTF and S&D server populated every night (which one it is varies)
If you want to use image generation to generate an image, go ahead. I sometimes do the same for placeholder images.
It’s not art though, it’s just plagiarism that’s been abstracted several times over. I could come up with a really cool search string for Google Images that has an awesome first result. But by downloading the first result and passing it off as my work isn’t art, it’s plagiarism.
If you want real art for your project, commission an artist to make it; or keep practicing until you find yourself good enough to make it.
I’m not gatekeeping art; the creativity, the effort, and the skills of the craft are the gatekeeper.
If everyone from Reddit just went over to lemmy.world and sh.it.just.works instead of making accounts all over the fediverse and maybe even hosting their own instance, then we’d just have the same problems that we did with Reddit, just at a different domain.
The fediverse will grow in due time. But thinking of it in terms of supplanting Reddit, or replacing twitter isn’t a good mindset. Decentralized social media and activitypub are tools to build better experiences, not replace the enshittified entrenched ones.
I think maybe you have it backwards people who are easily swayed/trusting of authority/gullible are going to be naturally drawn toward religion. Skeptics/those who don’t take things at face value are going to be naturally skeptical of it.
Religion doesn’t make you stupid but it’s very attractive to the sort
I mean 1.) the network is still pretty small and so the ratio of creators are gonna be low because the audience is low.
2.) the discussions here are still good and engaging. Unless you mean that everyone is a leftist and therefore the same. That’s not even true unless you only follow communities on Lemmy.ml and that’s only because their admins will remove comments for not being leftist
Well they are still on X which is owned by a guy who does Nazi salutes and whose AI chat bot calls himself Mecha Hitler (over giga Jew, but still wrong choice)
So they will stay on that platform but won’t vote for this guy, yeah your comment rings pretty true
By this guys logic shouldn’t he be supporting the winner of the primary and admonishing those who say they will vote 3rd party instead of the other way around?
