  • The point is they are not literal in any sense. Most of these questions can be interpreted at least 2 or more ways. I can't even wrap my head around what question 1 even wants. It's like word salad if you really read it carefully and literally.

  • Can anyone explain #1 to me? What are you supposed to circle? It says "the number or the letter". There's 1 number and the entire sentence is literally letters...

It's like when the waiter asks "Soup or salad?" and you say "Yes".

  • When I was in school we read Animal Farm, but instead of 1984 they had us read Brave New World. It seemed like a more accurate commentary at the time. Just everyone blissfully unaware and high on "soma" and trivial entertainment. Bread and circuses as it were. Crazy to see what a sudden turn to 1984 we've taken in just a few months.

  • You'd be surprised how many minorities voted against their interests as well. I have religious family who supported this. "Latinas for Trump" was also a thing. The stupidity of the human race is really something.

  • I was frankly shocked how many justices Trump was allowed to appoint. And bewildered how little pushback came from the Dems. The decisions being made now were already set in motion in Trump's first term appointments imo, but so little was made of it then.

I recall Obama having to compromise on his appointments, and then literally giving up his last one to Trump.

And that's how you get a completely compromised Judicial branch I guess.

  • Out of the loop old-school fan- what have I missed about them?

  • Not just your theory, it's literally in the Project 2025 playbook. Flood the zone with shit.

  • The point is we don't have to. THEY do, because by and large made-up strawmen and double standards are all they have. We have a fuck ton of actual crimes and evil heinous shit to actually throw at them. Where this guy was born is a waste of media space.

  • Sorry you're getting downvoted. If anyone actually read the article he was born in current day Uzbekistan, had a childhood home in Malta and moved to the States as a child. His birthplace is as irrelevant as Obama's was. Which isn't to say he couldn't now have Russian ties as implied, but that would be a different issue.

Clamoring over this just makes us look as stupid as these Nazis.

  • It's an own goal assuming Trump's team is the USA and its people. Which of course, it isn't.

  • "Deer My Friend" is a great one I stumbled across, really beautifully made

  • BCG are scum

  • You mean the ceasefire that was only ever mentioned in his rambling old man tweet? That one?

  • "On read" is the opposite of "unread" , i.e. the message has been seen and read, but not replied to

  • Nothing is "genius" to it, it is not "suggesting" anything. There is no sentience to anything it is doing. It is just using pattern matching to create text that looks like communication. It's a sophisticated text collage algorithm and people can't seem to understand that.

  • What a depressing clown show.

  • Nobody should be using LLMs for accurate facts or news. Why can't people get it through their heads that LLMs are not sentient or discerning. It's all just pattern matching via algorithms.

  • This would be more convincing if they didn't have over 1/2 dozen officers cornering and then shooting a pedestrian with a rubber bullet: https://lemmy.world/post/31196039

  • Wtf!! The curfew announcement sounded like it was for the freeways, but I guess they meant those were the borders... Worse than I thought. The announcement also said you were fine if you had a medical emergency or if you were coming and going home/to work. Apparently fcking not.
