  • I'm not surprised by this. A small/weak country can't exactly go up against a head of state of a nuclear capable one. Arresting them would have serious repercussions for said country. It's not a fair expectation.

  • Unfortunately, regulatory gaps still remain, even in this case. The TCPA does not apply to nonprofit organizations, religious institutions, or calls to landlines. Harper said the FCC is transparent about, and pushing to close, such “loopholes.”

That's a pretty big loophole given how big the alt-right Christian movement is.

  • A flight from Israel to the US is mainly over the Atlantic. Not sure if diverting it to a nearby country is an option.

  • If they don’t comply that is going to play into Putin’s hands and piss off Europe.

    How so?

I personally doubt Trump will comply either. Israel has deep pockets and Trump loves money. But guessing what Trump would do is a very difficult thing to do to be fair. I could be wrong on this.

  • Layovers? For the PM of Israel? What is he? Lower-middle class?

  • America is not part of the ICC, they have no legal obligation to comply. Nor would they. Betraying or abandoning one of their assets would not be a good look.

  • Hope they have free parking lol.

  • I'm actually surprised. I didn't think they would actually do it. It's unlikely to lead anywhere, but this is still a big step.

  • Just squint at the screen the way your ancestors did.

  • Could be a case of them interviewing a lot of people. Keep in mind a lot of people go on vacation this time of year and depending on the company/industry it could also mean this is peak season for them. I wouldn't look too much into it.

Best of luck, hope you get it.

  • ...No you really didn't. Hamas did accept a ceasefire proposal and it was sabotaged by the US and Israel.

  • What events? All you've given me are statements from a government intent on prolonging the conflict. That's not an event.

  • Again, Hamas did accept it. Giving me random quotes from government officials who just vetoed the best chance for peace does not mean Hamas rejected the deal. The deal was accepted. Israel and the US just refuse to play ball.

  • Hamas and the Palestinian Authority both accepted this resolution.

  • Everyone knows Hamas would not have accepted releasing the hostages unconditionally. This ceasefire proposal was the product of weeks/months of back and forth and where everyone on both sides agreed was the best way to move forward as it involved concessions on both sides. The US then vetoed it last minute since the killing Palestinians is more important than anything else.

  • I mean neither of us know how they arrived at the 14% number. So your comparison is not really relevant and I would say it's not a good one even. But in a generic/average month-to-month overview, home ownership is almost always more expensive.

  • Sounds like you have the fortune of living where these things are cheaper. In Ontario, home insurance is much higher and property tax being less than 1K a year is completely unheard of.

  • This is more of a case where the article doesn't take the time to explain the nuance. Everyone knows home ownership increases equity. Which is why it costs more.
