  • a few think it would be “unnecessary tattling to the feds.”

Don't even need to invest in lobbying to de-regulate the industry if your customers are rabid enough fans.

  • UPDATE: Demo runs on my system (Bazzite-deck stable, 16Gb, i5-9600K, RX6650XT) but performance is terrible. Don't have time to tweak settings now. YMMV.

EDIT: Latest GE-Proton, tweaking FSR and dropping the res a bit improved things somewhat, but I still can't hit 30fps in the first section. Invert mouse setting doesn't seem to work for me either, so it could just be this particular build isn't properly fixed / optimised. Could also be my system, the i5 is a bit long in the tooth.

  • Might work anyway, demo is free to test. I'm downloading now, will report results later.

  • +1 for Soulseek. Torrents for music tend to be very hit and miss.

  • I'm happy enough with my current (non-oss) watch that I'm not going to change until it becomes unusable, but if I had to make the decision today, I'd probably have a go at installing Asteroid OS on a secondhand device.

  • Bielefeld conspiracy. The city of Bielefeld in Germany does not exist. Everyone claiming to live there is a paid actor. Anyone who says they've visited is either in on it or has been decieved.

  • Oh so it's based on chrome. I was hoping they vibe coded it from scratch. Not because I'm a fan of AI, it'd just make the inevitable security nightmare funnier.

  • Agent Mode can click around as if it were a human user, with full access to that user’s authentication and browsing history

    Yeah, that should be fine.

  • ...

I had no idea gPodder could do that. I'd never tried it, just assumed it was mostly for playing and syncing with the web service.

    Thanks!

  • Actually that's something I hadn't considered. I do have a Jellyfin / *arr setup, there might be something in that ecosystem that does at least part of what I want.

  • That's the old, inefficient way of doing it. With my new online candy retail app Flushr, you can just pay the retailer to flush it for you! And the best part is: no calories!

  • Most of it will end up in landfill in a couple years anyway, they're just cutting out the middleman.

  • Times have wheely bin tough, I'm sleeping in gutters.

  • Social skills are like any other skill; they can be learned. I'd suggest volunteering. It's usually okay if you're a bit weird and awkward so long as you're contributing. I've done a fair bit of volunteer work and been on both sides of that. Plus it gives you a common goal and instant common ground with people; there's at least one thing you all care enough about to do it for free.

  • I'm still slightly salty about Anthem. For all its flaws it had the bones of a good game. The flight mechanics were fun as fuck and the core loop was solid. Shame about everything else.

  • Flipping between Unnamed Space Idle, Cogmind and Doom 2 mods. On the Doom 2 front I've been trying to get thru Amalgoom, but also catching up on some classic stuff I missed like Sunlust.

  • Why the hell is desperation censored?

  • Yes I will take one drugs please

  • It's also more conspicuous, which I suspect is the real appeal.
