Why the hell is 17 “WAY” too young? What would be your ideal age of consent? 30?

Spectrism@discuss.tchncs.deto Buy European@feddit.uk•Goodbye Uber! Everyone must delete their account! I can’t be happier!5·2 months agoThis seems like a confirmation popup, according to the reduced brightness. While the cancel button is still visible, you won’t be able to tap it and even if you could, it won’t work because the account actually got deleted after selecting “Delete Account”. And of course also because you’re going to be logged out, as the message says. I have never used Uber, let alone deleted an account there, so I may be wrong, but I’m fairly certain that the account actually got deleted at that point, if my assumptions are correct.
Dark Reader can do this, though it requires a little bit of tinkering. First you need to tick “Enable on restricted pages” in the Advanced section of Dark Readers settings (in the old design the settings can be found under “More > All Settings”). Then in about:config, all entries in
extensions.webextensions.restrictedDomains
need to be removed andprivacy.resistFingerprinting.block_mozAddonManager
needs to be set to “true”. If some of this doesn’t work, there’s also a GitHub Discussion with different solutions, but what I wrote here should do the trick.

If there are FOSS alternatives, I’m most definitely going to use them instead of proprietary software, let alone proprietary software by companies like Meta. And since there are plenty of those alternatives: No WhatsApp for me.

Creeps gonna creep. Only way to avoid them is to not go outside. And honestly who cares? Maybe I’m a bit desensitised, but if someone stares at me at the beach, why should I care? Same goes for the ones staring at children, with the difference that children don’t even worry about stuff like that. I also think you overestimate the amount of people who actually go there to creep. It’s not even necessary to go to a nude beach for that, I’ve seen plenty of naked kids at regular beaches.
“[…] because they don’t understand the severity of the situation.” What severity? What’s going to happen to the kids? Do you seriously think they worry about being sexualised? When I was a kid, we would run around naked in our backyard, lots of neighbours were able to see us. Did I worry about that in the slightest? Nope.
You’re worrying too much.

Also, if you don’t want to see naked kids, just… don’t look at them? I don’t get what your problem is here.

No, it implies a specific group of women, namely those with such piercings.
Spectrism@discuss.tchncs.deto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Can't get that metallic taste out of my mouth1·1 year agoWhy do you focus on the word “expectations”? The definition you yourself posted in this thread clearly mentions “hopes OR expectations”. I think the use of the term “disappointment” in this case refers to the “hopes” part. You can hope for something from someone without expecting it from them.

So you can’t even argue your own point. Why make such a claim then? And even your point about it “not being 13” is debatable. I hope you are at least aware of Romeo and Juliet laws? Works just fine for most of Europe and Central/South America, where it’s usually 14 to 15.
