  • "Keeping the drum" is basically what they do with all foreign objects they stole. This is trying to make it look like France is in favor of cultural independence, but they are constantly having the speech of "these inferior countries don't deserve to have their stuff back, they're too primitive for that"

If an article says "Trump hugs a black guy" you wouldn't see it as propaganda?

The point of advertising as positive, something that is supposed to be normal, to have been done long ago, and that is just an exception in the middle of a lot of shit, is propaganda, yes.

  • I've seen a lot of articles trying to show France positively lately, often by specific accounts, that try to (for example) give a positive image of Macron, of France, of De Gaulle, of the French government, to spread the far-right extremist propaganda that comes from there (with the recent death of a violent nazi assaulter shown as the horrible murder of a poor innocent pacifist bystander), etc.

France has been transforming very very fast into a very fascist country thanks to macron, and so having articles that dare to basically say "the world is having to admit that France is right" or shit like that seems a lot that the techniques of the far right to spread their ideas. And it wasn't like that on lemmy, let's say, six months ago.

  • Lemmy has a surprising amount of anti-vegan shit lately, especially in "humorous" communities.

Is this a campaign by fascists to slowly get accepted here? It seems a lot like it and like it's working.

  • Not this fascist shit again

  • Oh don't get me started on the attitude of France with historical objects stolen from the country they invaded. But macron said that they should have said "thank you" for being invaded so I guess it's their fault.

Why is there such French propaganda lately on lemmy?

  • They're like, sliiiiightly late

  • What is this shit propaganda?

Why are there so many articles lately saying that France is amazing, exactly as France is proving that you can do worse than Trump while being more "moderate"?

Is this a weird bot campaign or something?

  • If you had a kid you would want him to defend you?

Your dog depends on you. He didn't choose to be with you. If you start trying to make him have a "use" then you just wanted a tool, not a pet, and I don't even want to interact with you if that's the case.

That might sound harsh but we're not in the middle ages anymore, and no one needs a dog to protect them; if anything, you should protect him. He is the one that was forced to put his life in your hands.

  • I don't believe that vegans want to make wild animals be vegan. Some might, sure. But trying to display it as part of the vegan mentality is dishonest, and while there are a lot of stupid concepts around the idea of preventing animals from eating each other, it's a bit absurd to try to pretend that it's sooo hard to imagine wanting to avoid the horrible deaths of sentient creatures. It's not about evil, it's about suffering. And ridiculing all of those as a unit only serves the "people" who think animals are objects and can be tortured without care, as it pushes the idea that defending animals' well-being is pathetic and stupid.

No one thinks that all women are weak and all men are predator, but this is the common view of "woke" people by sexist people, that often go with crap such as "not all men" and whatever. So if you are actually trying to be anti-sexist, you should avoid saying the same as the sexists.

  • Saying "it would be funny if

    <statement>

" generally expresses support for the statement, humor or not.

You can't just always hide shit by saying "it's just a joke bro"

  • "Hard left" x)

    What is this nazi article?

  • Wow your comments are scary.

You are definitely not fit to have a dog right now.

Go read about dogs care, extensively, and in the meanwhile do not try to do anything to this poor dog.

"I saw my kid be nice to people, but I want him to have the instinct to instead beat them up with a baseball bat, how do I do that?"

And the little mention of "but I'd like to not abuse him too much if possible" at the end. That's really disgusting.

  • Are you trying to blend anti-veganism and sexism in one weird crappy comment?

  • Is there really a comment saying "let's make sure this in no way could be good for animal rights"?

And then they say that vegans are the weirdos...

  • If only they had been neonazis, they would have gotten a beer from the cops and a good laugh

  • I relate more to meters than an arbitrary bus. And science communication is about making things clear as a priority, and this does the opposite.

  • I was commenting on the title.

What does "a bus" bring instead of a measurement in meters? Nothing, so why put it as a title?

You're the one deflecting, for some reason, and trying to ignore the title which is supposed to be the first thing you read.

  • Everything but metric, huh

  • It was already the case with all other privacy-invading shit and no one cared so I don't see what's different now.
