  • This all rests on the idea that a masculine gender is basically mandatory (and I would guess, linked to being male).

Masculinity is a problem, it's saying that if you are a "man" (once again, generally defined by sex) then you have to follow a set of rules. Currently, these are toxic, thus toxic masculinity. But if they were healthy, then why would they have to be gendered? If, let's say, you think talking about your feelings openly is a part of healthy masculinity, does it mean it's only allowed for men? If not, why is it part of masculinity?

  • It's something that Macaroni was always trying to push from before he even got elected, and yet now everyone is like "who could have known?!?!"

  • Has been for a pretty long time, just getting worse now

  • Pardoned? What were they condemned for exactly?

  • The idea of having to debate old historic crap just because you want so much to justify kicking people out of their home, preferably while killing them, is absurdly stupid.

  • So let me guess, we should conclude that prison doesn't solve the problem, but the solution pushed will be to brand criminals on the forehead with burning iron?

  • Mouais pas sur que ce soit a priorité

  • But this was long established.

It feels like the point is simply to make "good citizens" scared because they didn't find it a problem as long as the ones being horribly treated were filthy immigrants.

But it confirms the idea that whether the victim is a "citizen" or not is an important point, implying that torturing people is fine as long as they don't have the right papers. I cannot really accept something like that.

If you replace "deports" by "shoots in the face", suddenly most people would think that being a citizen is irrelevant, but because this torture/deportation thing is less " obvious" people delude themselves into tolerating it, as long as they don't personally feel threatened.

  • The problem here is that it is unlawful and immoral, not whether it's a citizen or not. This implies that it would be fine if the person wasn't a citizen.

  • And that's good?

  • What is the relevance of being a US citizen exactly?

  • Heh, how else would they sell you their leftovers?

  • Surprisingly, electing a banker didn't help against capitalism.

  • I don't really get why it matters.

Would it have been less shocking if we were talking mice? Or talking snakes? Most species communicate one way or the other, a lot of them through sounds, that's pretty common.

Unless the confusion is about humans being "apes" but then again, I don't see why it would be so shocking.

  • So we're smart enough to dislike fascists, but stupid enough to support primitive discriminatory macho crap?

    Humanity really needs to disappear

  • "This should be useful" no.

  • Yeah, I think you need to calm down before using the internet, it's visibly not good for you.
