I want a FOSS version of the original core use of Facebook. A place to keep up with IRL friends and aquaintences. Share photos and updates with everyone you know. Organize and send out event invites. Facebook groups.
Sure you can do that the old fashion way. But the convenience of those features is the only reason I still use Facebook. I assume its what keeps most of FB userbase around.

Thanks! I really like the looks of what people put together with the minimalist tiling window managers. I have tried to play around with them a bit. But I just can’t do it. I’ve got 30 years of floating window manager and mouse focused computing experience that makes tiling only managers rage inducing to actually use. Perhaps if I were a programmer, it would be more appealing. But as an artist/photographer, I will stick to what works for me.

It’s probably advanced Excel users, mostly. Also, people who heavily use the collaboration features of MS Office.
It’s too eye searingly bright for my personal preferences. But it is a clean, beautiful desktop. Good work.

The USA is supposed to be a “free country.” Everyone within its borders should have the right to criticize the country, or anything at all, and not face repercussions from the government.
That doesn’t mean they won’t face repercussions from everyone else in the country, who also have the right to criticize them.

Does anyone else have a mandela effect about Val Kilmer being dead already? I feel like I have read about his death mutliple times over the past decade and then had a mandela effect that I thought he had already died, but then also when I heard any story about him I also have a mandela effect that I thought he was dead.

The new Stanley cup collector craze absolutely. It’s bonkers.
That said Stanley makes high quality stuff at far more reasonable prices than Yeti. I have a Stanley coffee thermos I have used every day for almost a decade. It was like $30.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with having strong brand preferences based on reputation and personal experience. The issue is when people become fanboys.
The worst one IMHO is YETI coolers. Sure their stuff is well made but the prices are obscene, and there are loads of absolute tools who will buy everything they make and make a cooler brand their whole identity. $40 for a 5 gallon bucket? Come on.
At this point there is a pretty solid list of reasons to avoid Brave and use another FOSS privacy focused option.
Personally, everything I’ve read about Brave makes me trust them even less than Microsoft, and Google.
