and a lot of movies aren't even sharper in 4k. Since for a long time movies used a 2k intermediary format for post production, even if the movie was shot with a 4k camera.
I also wondered about doing that when I ever get rich. Like buy houses in a coveted neighborhood, rent it out to low and middle income people at social housing rates and then convert the lease to a mortgage after a few years and sell the home below market value to the tenants. But how do you prevent them from selling it to an investor above market rates for profit within a few years. Like sure they have equity now but the home is also lost to an investor who will rent it out at a premium to an expat or tourist.
Every subsidy that goes to a person basically is a roundabout way to fund an industry. Even tax write offs are. Like a mortgage interest rate deduction just helps banks and the real estate industry, not the people buying a house. The write off pushes housing prices up, since the banks can give out slightly higher mortgages to borrowers and the market adjusts to the bigger inflow of cash and supply doesn’t increase faster. If the write off didn’t exist people could borrow less but houses would cost less as well. This basically happened in my country the Netherlands. Nobody benefited from the introduction of the mortgage interest deduction except the banks and people who already owned a home when the policy was introduced.
Remember when you were ten and went to a friend’s place who had a Commodore 64 and they just got a new game on a floppy from his uncle’s friend. And the game was just an animation of a pixelated naked cartoon lady who took a piss on to the ground. And you’d laugh your ass off for the rest of the day. Remember? No?
Yeah at that point it will just turn into a republic. But nothing is stopping Norwegians to go into that direction except tRAdiShyUn and decades of brainwashing.
They can definitely replace the monarch. Remember it’s a constitutional monarchy where the monarch has only ceremonial power. The throne has been given to the current royal family by the people. The people can take the crown away if they want to. Parliament just needs to amend the constitution. Also the monarch can be encouraged to step down if they are embroiled in a scandal.
Also monarchs are just humans their heads can be chopped off like any of us. They should never forget what happened to their cousin during the French Revolution.
If they didn’t have Fortnite they probably wouldn’t even have the money to dump into Unreal Engine to make it where it is today. They probably would ask Tencent for more money and Tencent would have bought the rest of the company. The game engine business is just not as profitable as Fortnite, just look at Unity.
When the first colonists arrive the planet will already be inhabited by humans since 100 years after they left we invent the warp drive. And trying to intercept them mid travel and board them on to the new ship is impossible since they travel near the speed of light in the darkness of space.
