  • Because tolerance requires open mindedness and critical thinking. Two things that undermine a fascists regime when the entire population does that. By banning homosexuality the regime basically tells the people that they shouldn’t think beyond their first gut reaction. It’s okay to hate, it’s okay that the police beats up your gay neighbor, it’s okay to not think about it, it’s okay to not think at all.

  • Nah homework is how you create discipline in kids. So they learn how to do things on their own, plan and focus on things without constantly having an authoritarian figure watching them.

    It’s why the smartest kids who never had to do homework or prep often struggle when they go to university where they have to read entire chapters to prepare for every class. Because they lack the discipline to plan and focus.

    And even outside work life there are plenty of things where an adult needs discipline and planning skills to live a successful life.

  • Those Christians want to see a religious war happen in the Middle East since they believe it will trigger the return of Big J. And to make that happen the state of Israel needs to not only exist but be in perpetual state of animosity against its neighbors. Also both the zionists and these Christians believe that the Third Temple needs to be build on the place where the Second Temple once stood on Temple Mount. But that is where the Dome of the Rock mosque stands today. So building the Third Temple would trigger the religious war they desperately want to see happening.

And ironically the head of PlayStation Studios is the former CEO of Guerrilla Games. This guy is probably behind Sony’s desperate attempts to own a successful live service multiplayer game

  • Sony is desperately trying to own a live service game that will generate positive cash flow month after month for the next decade without investing hundreds of millions of dollars. Sony has some of the best selling single player games this gen but each game costs them a hundred million dollar or more to build and promote and more than half a decade to make. since their audience expects the most realistic looking games. Which is a huge risk to them when multiple games flops and when a game is successful it will generate most of the revenue in the first year only. That’s why they force every studio they own to build a live service game but the ironic thing is they lost more money doing that than they have generated from those projects.

    Also it’s the same reason why Remedy Entertainment released a multiplayer game out of the blue. Since the development of Alan Wake 2 could have bankrupted them if the game failed. And also ironically this game probably cost them more then it will ever generate in income.

  • I think Netherlands is more mixed nowadays than a hard shoes on culture. Like people keep their shoes on if they have visitors over like a party and they don’t ask their visitors to take them off. But when they are home alone it’s shoes off or slippers. Like many people have underfloor heating so there is no need to keep the shoes on.

    Though I know some freaks who don’t take off their shoes until they go to bed.
