  • Rollback from ELAC B version 104 to version 103+ after flight B6-1230 from JetBlue had a stabilizer runaway during cruise, apparently due to this software 104 and solar flares.

    Most aircrafts can be serviced overnight as it is just a software change.

    That humanity will realize we are the same species, stop fighting and ruining our world to go fight them and ruin their world (cause that’s what we do and love).

    Also that we will react with the golden retriever mindset of two existential questions:

    • Can I eat this?
    • Can I fuck this?

  • Strange, we have 4 peoples for whom it’s happening way too often, meanwhile I barely even see the communities sidebar and I really have to look for it.

    I’m also unable to open this sidebar when I’m on a post.

    I’m on iPhone, if that helps. Are you all 4 on android and this could be some sort of different gesture between the two OS?

    Or, kinda dumb hypothesis, are you all left handed? The communities button is on the top left so maybe scrolling with your left hand makes it more prone to touch that button?

  • It’s hyperactive turn base. It’s even LSD turn base if you are quick enough on your choices (and the personna style UI permits that).

    Forgetting about everything else that makes it a goty, the gameplay can be hella gratifying if you play fast and manage all the timings correctly.

  • I have chosen the easy way and went from too many every day to no alcohol at all. It’s been around a year now and I am going to double that number.

    Kudos to you, setting limits feels way harder than getting to zero as, to me, zero means not thinking about it at all.

    If you managed to keep those rules for 3 years that’s a good job, it needs a lot of will to not use any downside of life to break the rule.

    But if you can find the cheese it is really easy to do and homemade one as there’s 2 ingredients; cheese and cheese. Just use a machine to shred it because doing it by hand is not fun.

    Since I don’t drink and don’t want to go to another shop to buy shit white wine, I replaced it with cheap blond alcohol free beer, it’s perfect.

    Fondue is literally just shredded cheese. The typical Swiss fondue, la moitié-moitié (half half) is 50% Gruyère and 50% Vacherin + a little bit of potato starch if it’s an industrial one (otherwise it’s only cheese and you add potato starch if you want, it’s only to have a better texture and not mandatory).

    Other types are just different cheeses, from a single one up to a mix of 3, varying from regional preferences.

  • Yeah, but Xplane 12 does work natively and perfectly on Linux and MacOS. So there’s that.

    But I guess if you start adding several joysticks (minimum of 3 for an aircraft, joystick or yoke, rudder, throttle quadrant) with assorted softwares it becomes a bit of a headache and most probably it won’t be 3 joysticks from the same vendor.

    And today we have the Chinese winwings that makes full glareshield and mcdu at acceptable prices https://eu.winwingsim.com/view/goods-details.html?id=925 so that’s another software to configure.

    And all of that is only for one aircraft type (Airbus in my example) 😅

  • I am so yes it’s probably why.

    The iso from massgrave was made with Rufus that can disable the unnecessary requirements and force creation of a local account instead of windows live 🖕

    Then activated and lightly debloated with powershell. That makes windows usable for what I need it to, just launching games.

    Everything else is done on a minisforum Linux or framework Linux (even sometimes gaming on it when I’m not at home).

  • I am 99% Tumbleweed except my gaming PC which is still on Win11 (but I haven’t seen any bloat on it, no ads in winkey menu etc).

    I am a huge flight simmer and, besides Xplane, MSFS has Microsoft in its name but the problem is more about the tons of tools around the simulator rather than the sim (aircraft, peripherals, maps&nav, ATC, job manager etc). MSFS do run on proton, but plenty of background tools don’t 😔
