  • I like that you chose one of the few genres of metal where it does actually end up being about love... in the metaphorical, "love and kindness defeats evil" kinda way.

    The only more "love" genre would have been hair metal.

    Death metal would have been a better choice, but then that statement is valid most of the time...

    Until it starts bordering on goregrind, and ironically becomes about "love" of a different, one way kinda sense.

    • Power metal : love in the romanticism sense, those on the side of love and good defeat those on the side of evil and hate
    • Hair metal : love between a man and a female , or between a man and his money or love for hedonism
    • Death metal : the absence of love makes me want to die.

  • you seem to get it. I have a paradoxical observance too : how come transmen are "less fought over"/"accepted as men" more than transwomen for the opposite while this "splashback effect" exists?

    Like if a transman has no facial hair, is short, etc they are more readily accepted as "yeah sure it's a guy" than a transwoman that doesn't pass as well, with all the current rage that seems to be happening politically?
