  • Its no wonder if you've socialized with the people living where he won. Or considered the poor campaign his opponents waged. Ford's campaign was shit too, but his supporters think a campaign consists solely of advertisements and vibes so they never noticed.

I called a Ford majority as soon as the platforms were released. Seemed obvious to me the NDP and Libs were giving that to him. Hell it was the only time I didn't vote NDP provincially in over twenty years of voting.

  • My wife came home from getting hers still in tears from the pain. I offered to go with, but the doctor made her believe it was nothing. Not content in simply hurting my wife, they set the string so it cut my fucking frenulum the next time we had sex! Took us nine months to find and book a competent gyno to fix her razor vag.

The worst part is my wife got the IUD because it was recommended by the gyno after she had a tubal ligation. It was not there to prevent pregnancy. They claimed it would make her period easier, the opposite was true. All that trauma and pain for nothing.

  • Sometimes calling it a tramp stamp is more fitting. Here's an example my wife and I had done last summer

  • Every mention of separation I've seen from Albertans involves them using Canada's currency, military, and pension plan. The people behind the movement are far too dumb to actually figure out their own country. It'll either end up being an instant US territory, or they'll collapse in a year or two.

  • I spent the last twenty years strictly voting NDP and I agree. This is the first time I won't be voting NDP federally, just two months after my first time not voting NDP provincially. They really need to up their game. I'm just grateful my riding is split between NDP and Liberal so I don't have to worry about a blue win either way.

  • Only the rich are cowbirds. Cowbirds are parasites that make other birds raise their young for them, kinda like Musk.

  • I hope some of those US citizens includes the people Trump sent to Ukraine to chat with Zelensky's opposition.

  • Republicans have spent my entire life defending the second amendment under the guise that it is the only way to stop a tyrannical government. Not sure why, but I feel like this is should be relevant to Americans these days.

  • What about Canada? We barely ship any drugs or contraband south and yet 90% of the guns used in violent crime here come from the USA. Most of them come from states that aren't even near the border. More Canadians have been killed by American arms than Americans could ever be killed by Canadian drugs. The problem is the USA wants to act like some paragon of justice while also encouraging instability in their neighbours and refusing to admit their addiction to guns is a cancer to all of civilized society.

  • How about I trade you two dozen eggs for those bills? Eggs are only worth a few dollars a dozen north of the border. We'd share more, but your leader is threatening our future.

  • Anyone who says shit like this while ignoring the massive amount of illegal guns smuggled into Canada from the USA killing Canadians is a goddamn traitor. 90% of the handguns recovered from violent crime here originated in the USA. This has always been a huge problem for us. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68841961

  • Torontonian here. It might be worth asking, but I can tell you right now they'd laugh at you. Their boomer voting base doesn't want to bother and they have big federal problems to worry about. Heck look at Scotland right now, some people suggested keeping cats out of conservation areas to protect bird species and everyone is freaking out. Despite being great for the environment, outdoor cat bans are not popular with voters.

You may have more luck with your local councilor. Pet issues tend to be handled at the municipal level. Even your MPP would be a much better choice, assuming they aren't conservative. However if you really want the situation fixed anytime soon, you'll need to either get help from a charity like the Humane Society or take care of it all yourself.

  • Dorothy rose columbine. Beautifully built for butterflies and hummingbirds.

  • I literally just spent an extra hour doing my weekly grocery order to make damn sure not a single item was sourced or made by anything USA. Now that I've gone through that effort, I won't be going back. I have no reason to believe Trump won't change his mind on a whim like usual anyways. If we all do our part in this way, even the rich will feel some consequences from supporting this madman.

  • My dad is a Tim Curry doppleganger. When I told him I will never watch Rocky Horror again due to that resemblance, he proceeded to show me a photo album of him cosplaying Frank-N-Furter.

Got nothing but love for Tim Curry's work. Sadly just the mention of his name evokes images of my dad wearing women's lingerie. Hopefully some of you find it as funny as my wife does.

  • Not sure if this is the case in other countries, but universities here in Canada tend to employ unionozed workers and have a huge variety in positions. I'm a unionized groundskeeper and its an infinitely better gig than any other landscaping work I've done.

When searching for a union job, be mindful that many employers are anti-union and unions vary in their efficacy. Try to avoid unions that have already been castrated by bad deals, or ones that constantly have to strike for basic concessions.

When you succeed at getting a union job, I highly recommend showing up at meetings and considering a leadership role if you have the chops. A union is only as strong as its active members.
