  • Osama Bin Laden wasn't assassinated in a hospital bed by soldiers wearing civilian clothes. It's a literal textbook case of a war crime, as in someone earlier brought up a document of examples of War crimes and wearing civilian clothes was in there lol.

  • Holding the hostages is leverage. There's no proof their raping, they might be they might not be. Terrorists aren't the greatest of people obviously. But we're talking real politick, as in from their point of view, what's the best thing to do to achieve their political aims, not what's morally right. No one is defending Hamas, we're just saying we could say why they wouldn't want to release the hostages because then they have nothing to bargain with, and Israel will continue to kill Palestinians, oppress Gaza, and take West Bank settlements as they have for the last 70 years. They've even said their terms, they want a ceasefire.

Your reply is nonsensical with that context. It's like your brain is so warped by rage and Zionist propaganda that you can't imagine anything from anyone else's point of view. Holding hostages is leverage whether you like it or not, because as long as their alive, people want to see their family members back.

  • More people know about the Palestinian conflict and Israeli war crimes than ever before. Plus, for a brief moment, the deaths on the Israeli side were higher than on the Palestinian side for the first time. It's also the only time they've had a large number of hostages to use as leverage for a deal.

  • Hamas wouldn't go through all the trouble to capture them if they weren't willing to free them for a deal. They're not excusing it, just explaining why militarily it would be dumb for Hamas to let go of their only leverage without a better deal. They let go of a bunch and it only led to a couple days before the massacre began again and Israel basically recaptured about the same amount of people they exchanged. When is the next chance they'll get to have hostages for negotiation again? October 7th was an unprecedented attack that probably won't happen again for a long time.

  • Meanwhile, the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan have chosen to suspend or reconsider their funding to UNRWA.

This is about the investigation into the UNRWA people who may have helped Hamas.

  • That's the reason I've been using Roku. I couldn't stand all the suggestions and ads on my Google TV. If Roku does that, too, then there's nothing good to distinguish them.

  • Stilll helps factory workers have better commutes. Everyone who wants to work from home should be able to, because it helps the people who want to go in or have to.

  • You can't just ignore their answer and say they don't have one just because you don't like it. Besides, it's a nonsense question, like "What's your answer to stopping Indian attacks?" during the US's settler colonialist period of western expansion and manifest destiny.

Israel can stop their oppression of Palestine and allow their citizens actual sovereignty and you've already cut off the source of Hamas support. You can even trade hostages for this. But the truth is, Israel cares more about the land they're sitting on and getting rid of the people on it then they do about their hostages.

Israel can't immediately kill everyone because they have to pretend they are the good guys for the US. But they are killing as fast as they can right below that line. Nazi Germany and the US did the same thing. First, gathering their targeted ethnicities in ghettos, then using their retaliation as evidence of the necessity for slaughter and displacement, then repeat and continue until they're all gone. It took the US hundreds of years to do their genocide, but nobody denies it was one.

Btw, this isn't a war, it's an occupation and ethnic cleansing. It's why one side has tens of thousands of civilian deaths and the other side doesn't.

  • Well it's not like settler colonialism failed in places like the US, Australia, South Africa, and other places. They just hope to do the genocide now, then in 50 years everyone will forget or want to move past it, and they can make sad movies about it and pretend they feel bad about it.

  • Doesn't Turkey still deny they ever did a genocide, too?

  • Then it's got to be what the person below said: beating the hell out of their workers, poor conditions and benefits, stuff like that.

  • Palestinian quality of life has already been shit for decades. Most of their water is poisoned, they're allowed barely enough calories, the sky is so filled with spy drones they can't sleep, they don't control their own power, water, sky, trade, freedom of movement, etc. They fight because they have no other choice. They're not going to give up or lose Hamas members while their quality of life sucks and they stay oppressed.

Unless Israel goes the genocide route...

  • What about food? Or do you only grow your own radishes watered only by the rain and your own piss, like that guy from The Good Place?

  • I've heard Irish people say they support Palestine for similar reasons. They didn't go through an apartheid, but they went through oppressive colonization being done on them.

  • Context matters. If she says abortion is bad, it deserves to be reported, and is, while abortion policy is actively being dismantled - because she is a lawmaker in the party actively working towards that (and in power for one of the legislatures).

Just like this guy's words matter while it's being supported by other people like Ben-Givir and while they're actively in the process of doing genocide stuff.

  • Is Graphene OS good? Any downsides? I need to get a new phone soon.

  • Anywhere else... I think the point is to say that they should've figured it out. They had warning and opportunity to leave, even when they didn't. The Nazis played the same strategy.

  • Same as Trump. Or debates on Fox News. Classic angry right-wing yelling lol.

  • Top tier edit lol
