Except where there's little opportunity to utilize the highly skilled labor. They are going abroad anyway to find job opportunities befitting of their skill set and the highest bidder. Doesn't matter if the US or EU took them, they're leaving because the local opportunity doesn't exist.
Everyday we are reminded of the damage that state-sponsored misinformation can do.
The stupidest part about brexit was that it was a non-binding referendum. They could have just ignored it. But I guess sometimes you need your house to burn down before you realize why we need a publicly funded fire department.
I'd argue that the whole damn system was either corrupt or broken beyond repair. The fact that they "won" in the end and got to simply go on with their lives is pretty much evil winning out.
It would also have been a much more interesting story if they let Clyde win or escalated the havoc he unleashed even further. But it seems they ran out of ideas and or budget by the time they started wrapping up the final act. So that's a second time evil wins again.
You guys do realize this is the adult equivalent of the teacher making someone write an essay about why cheating in a test is wrong, right?
It wasn't because the cheater was a paragon of virtue and honesty. It was to subtlety shame them, make them think deeply about their actions, reflect and open their viewpoints. And hopefully something small changes and one day small changes lead to bigger changes.
Look, what other options are on the table? Invade them and make them the world leader in gender equality? Stop all geopolitical co-operation until their government is 50% female?
I would hazard a guess, it would be no different from getting your passport impounded. Your well being is your own responsibility regardless of your ability to travel overseas.
I guarantee that if the regulations didn't state a minimum of 2 hours or the need for black boxes, aircraft manufacturer would put a 1 minute tape recorder inside a foam box. If they even put in anything.
The frogs bred for consumption are typically bull frogs or pig frogs. These are not the endangered frogs. Endangered frogs are tiny, their entire body weight is probably less than a single leg of a bull frog and its not commercially viable.
The endangered frogs are native to places like South America, where they are suffering from a loss of habitat and from chemical pesticide/herbicide run off from farms that are killing them off.
In other regions they also suffer from light pollution.
I doubt its that the French are to blame, especially when east asia has a huge consumption of frog legs
If we could just be rid of this cancer already. It consumes ungodly amounts of energy from the most polluting fossil fuels and all for imaginary numbers that is only good for speculative investing, money laundering and enabling crime.
Garuda has an abysmal safety record. I'm banking it wasn't a design or production issue with the 747.
