    They're not treating it as a cache. Most of these apps don't function with less ram.

    It's just inefficiencies stacked on inefficiencies. And yeah, they didn't matter a ton at first, because our hardware was advancing fast enough to handle it. But at some point we should really go back and visit a lot of this stuff.

    A 2014 computer should have gotten better at all the basic tasks that existed then, not worse.

    The Windows 11 start menu being built on React is a good example. Insanity.

    Some of the dumb ones might think the pressure on the Fed to lower interest rates is good for their bottom line, but they're idiots.

    All of them will suck up to him regardless, for survival. It doesn't mean they think everything he's doing is right by them.

    And yes, he's serving some of them, particularly Peter Thiel. But he's mostly serving Putin and himself.

    We have a wealth disparity/capitalism problem. We have a Trump problem. There's some overlap, yes, but they're not the same.

    And even Hillary isn't the devil incarnate you think she is. She'd be more content with the status quo than I'd like, and I voted for Bernie over her, but she's not part of some grand conspiracy to keep the American people down.

    I haven't really decided how I feel about this. Is it legit? I could see either opinion. It certainly drives her to make whatever comics that appeal to the masses. They function as an advertisement, and I know how I feel about advertisements.

    If I'm curating something that I'd publish, there's no way in hell I'd include her stuff. Banning it from a platform is a number of steps farther than that, though.

    Artists need to make money, and there are certainly projects I appreciate where I'd encourage the artist's method of making money. Where to find the line between the art as advertising for money and the money as funding for the art is an interesting discussion. You can absolutely tell in her case, but she shows that the line is blurry.
