  • I don't think awareness, testing, or mitigation of radon was common until about 2000.

  • People still play this one. http://mud.arctic.org/

Though I didn't mean it has to necessarily be text-based. More that that ancestral path was more interesting than the WoW one. This is what EverQuest was born from.

One of the bigger differences is that not everything was questing. You just explored, and part of your motivation to level up was the ability to explore places that were previously inaccessible.

  • Here's a free one for you.

Discard pretty much anything learned from or after World of Warcraft. That game warped the genre for decades, largely for the worse.

Go back to MUDs. Iterate from there.

  • Probably followed AI spouting random bullshit and/or malware.

  • It's not that it's a new concept. It's that boys definitely are referred to as "males". In years past it was probably more common than hearing "females", though recent trends (incels) have likely changed that. It's a nitpick that stuck out to me also, but it's a small point from a more important larger point being made by a 15 year old. Maybe someone should have caught that in editing, but it shouldn't be a big deal. And we can afford to give the kid that much leeway.

  • Sure, that's off.

She's 15. Take the value out of the article.

  • You really saved us all with your... not voting?

  • If he doesn't like Trump then he probably

  • Trying to define Jewishness by what Israel and/or Epstein does is antisemitic.

  • charging Dingus with voyeurism

Ohio Revised Code Section 2907.08 | Voyeurism

    (A) No person, for the purpose of sexually arousing or gratifying the person's self, shall commit trespass or otherwise surreptitiously invade the privacy of another, to spy or eavesdrop upon another.

    (2) A violation of division (A) of this section is a misdemeanor of the third degree.

  • It doesn't? I think it does have that risk.

  • His value was in listening to the smart people in the room and not giving a fuck about red tape, clearing the way for those smart people.

Those smart people have been replaced by right wing grifters and even more ketamine.

He did have some value. Even if he didn't invent them, I don't think electric cars get to where they are today without his help. And now they wouldn't have begun to decline without his help.

  • I thought they did pay those back.

  • I'd expect there needs to be actual damages first. So you have to say no and then get fired, and then you have a case.

Though if it's heading that way, a lawyer may want to help you prep to seal the case as it's being made.

  • Afaik it has never worked right. If you properly set your post to English, it would hide your post from everyone who didn't have a language set (so everyone).

The way it should work is if you don't have languages set in your profile it should show you all languages. If you do have a language set, it should show you those languages AND undefined.

Then you'd be free to specify the language of your post without hiding your post from 99.9% of users.

  • So that public opinion isn't shaped by a couple thousand social media accounts run from a troll farm in Moscow.

  • I wouldn't take a Lemmy comment as evidence either way.

  • What kind of restaurant has so much wait staff that you're worried about turning over your tables that quickly?

In my experience, servers with full tables tend to make bank.
