I like to think of imperialists as semi-conscious children with serious behavioral disorders+no early-life training for how to interact in non-hostile ways with other beings, who have been convinced by lead-poisoned racist authority figures that growing up to become a cog in an infinite plundering machine is honorable life path. All it takes is some reframing… maybe some of them end up waking themselves up to the whole mess in time to, at the very least, remove themselves from the process and re-evaluate their behaviors/priorities, begin growing their desire for truth-seeking, appreciation of nature, personal growth, or just living in the real world outside of 24/7/365 imperial conquest mode
we hold water weight based on salt intake from what I understand, it is less related to how much we remember to stay baseline hydrated (saying this as a chronically mildly dehydrated adhd/asp spectrum person who also sometimes naturally fasts on accident for long periods sometime up to around 11+ hours if I have eaten well/[much for my smaller stomach] the day before) I like sipping as small of sips as I can throughout the day sometimes to remind myself, and when hiking at the very least as well, and it can help in maintaining the good practice of saving some last few swigs of the water bottle for emergency situations like someone unexpectedly choking on dust, or experiencing unexpected eye irritants from gusty winds.
I was reading it as, “now this dress has the capacity to have had boy cooties on it” which I would have thought, in my limited frame of reference, that would make the dress more gross and perhaps at the very least less desirable for those who are inquiring enough to care about “who has worn this before me”. but I guess if you think about it from the perspective of pulling it off, wearing it well and it fitting their personal taste well for the “first time for that dress”, for whatever that’s worth could be the other interpretation which could reasonably be something I could see someone being excited about. I’d still probably wash it at least once either way, so I’d venture to guess that the person was saying so to primarily show an inclusive forwardness of complete understanding to the seller by incorporating a positive spin on one aspect of the unique novelty of having the backstory to go with the article of clothing they had found.

all the authors really needed out of it was to get the viewer thinking about how we could frame relationships with others in terms of market forces, so that the political discussions surrounding the issue would have more people thinking about their own sexual or social prospects in consideration of “what kinds of unexpected consequences might occur if this new development goes through, and how could it impact me or perhaps other (privileged/entitled/vulnerable) individuals”
So the intended audience is inferred to be “entitled dickheads of old” by my limited capacity for assessment
Poverty is a choice, irrelevance is allbut guaranteed. The dragons' impenetrable fortresses are nearing completion, though they remain pleasantly surprised at their prospects of more perfect control over their destinies than even their most adept forefathers had ever yet captured. Will must henceforth be paid for in the most precious of tokens (faith, peace, hope, sanity, pride, dignity, rage, flesh). We will grow and adapt to survive even as it pushes us to unraveling. Any minute contributions, no matter how unrecognized or delayed in fruition, have all culminated to this moment, and this process of incalculable chaotic combinations, interactions, and exchanges unfolding never stops, even as our minds, bodies, and spirits need periodic rest for rest, regrowth, reflection. We’re too uneducated, by and large, to have much of a left left, especially not “a left” with principles, conviction, reasoning, or self-respect left. The internet and especially the more recent sloppocalypse has had dramatic effects on the inequality of knowledge and understanding in the “free world” by their own “free press”
most honest people like to be able to explain (to themselves at the very least) why they are doing what it is that they are being told to do. When one can’t come up with a satisfying answer, that’s when the authority of the leader will need examining, having their integrity weighed and measured, and considered for rejection/replacement (choice of the follower to defect from that particular dictatorship). The issue these days is that most people have no deep driven reasoning for anything that they are doing on a day to day basis, aside from the usual tendencies towards self-preservation.
