  • And other social media, like the one you're using right now, aren't?

  • You're gonna complain about social media while on social media? Can't wait for the fediverse apps to be banned because someone in Syria is running an instance.

  • Yeah because teens love opening the paper in the morning and reading about how Israel is "liberating" Palestine?

  • What nonsense was on there?

  • Tik tok had some amazing news sources. I'd say the Washington Post on there was pretty good, they actually reported on the bullshit going on at the paper as well. There was a lot of great sources on the app. I'll say that tiktok is the only place you'll see news on Palestine not from the pov of Israel.

  • You talk like a redditor, someone who needs people to hear their opinion even if it doesnt add anything.

  • You might like Servant x Service, it's not explicitly a romance anime, more of a comedy but it has some romance sprinkled in from what I remember. It focuses on a a few employees working for the local government at a DMV style office where they deal with customers all day. Light hearted and definitely relatable if you've ever worked a service job.

Golden Time was pretty good when I saw it 12 years ago. It's a college setting so a lot of high school tropes are gone and the characters act more like young adults. I wouldn't say you need to watch it, but it's not bad.

Ore Monogatari or "My Love Story" is a favorite for me and my partner. It is a high school setting, but the characters and the pacing make it worth it. If you give it a shot just make it to episode 3 before writing it off.

You probably wouldn't like Toradora but it's highly regarded. High school setting again with a lot of clichés, but the clichés are used really well, and make up for the fact that you've probably already seen the stereotypes play out before.

  • But none of this had to do with America?

  • B-b-b-but think of the poor marginalized billionaires! They didn't choose to be better off as fertilizer or pig feed! It's the poors who are wrong! How can someone with all that money be wrong?

  • They'll call it "cyber terrorism" and make it a mandatory 15

  • Honestly if anything I think it would be easier than vetting someone with no background, you already have what they've been convicted of. Idk how many burglars or murderers like to dabble in arson.

  • I once worked a job where if I was five minutes late or had to leave early the shift before or the shift after a holiday I would forfeit my holiday pay. That's when I learned that holiday pay isn't guaranteed in the states. Never worked another holiday at that job again.

  • Idk if a judge offing himself because he lost his election bid would inspire many copy cats. His life wasn't ruined, it probably would've been if he hadn't died. But he didn't want to wait to find out apparently.

  • When the front page doesn't have posts from over 2 days ago on it then I might say Lemmy is a good size, but it's a pretty stagnate site.

  • If you're an American and you're not a native American you're family immigrated here. Why is it so weird to want to know where your family or ancestors come from, I'm lucky and can trace my family name back a couple hundred years. I'm still American I just got family history that's fun to know about.

  • And Trump hasn't endorsed it?

  • Do you sincerely believe that corporate America is left leaning?

  • What views of yours get censored? Come on, share them.

  • Will it? Or will google kill wallet off for no reason in a couple of years?
