  • Both. Unless it’s a brand new single used pallet, you don’t know that a pool chemical didn’t spill on it at Walmart.

They are also treated to prevent rotting.

  • You don’t want to use old pallets for garden beds or projects anyways. Don’t know what chemicals you’re introducing into your home or food.

  • I wouldn’t be using plywood for veggies myself. Too many chemicals, just the glue alone.

  • Throw the whole thing in the dishwasher upside down.

  • It was hard to get a good picture looked better from the backyard, but couldn’t see the other half.

  • No, I was taking the dogs out this morning and saw it, so I had to run and find a spot where I could get the majority of it. I’ve never seen one so vivid in real life before.

  • Absolutely not, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I don’t think you can get much more inland to be honest.

  • Anyone that’s in the left lane beside them is a

  • No, I’m saying they’re trying to make something potentially just as wrong seem okay with a justification, and some people eat it up. They had no other option, that’s by definition slavery still, no matter the “white washing”.

Were they or were they not forced? Why are you avoiding this question?

  • To make it not seem like slavery and give them more motivation.

Oh hey, yeah you’re totally not slaves, you can buy your freedom in 25 years, but how many make it that far as well.

Why not pay slaves, the money is all yours and comes right back. So why not in that situation?

Were they free to say no and do something else? You didn’t answer this question.

  • That’s a distinction without a difference.

Slaves were bought as well, they have receipts as well, it’s just a way to make it “legal”. Even though the end purpose is the same.

Just because you’re paid and have a room, doesn’t remove the forced aspect of it, do you think they were free to say no and be able to do something else?

  • So are/were a lot of slaves.

Being forced to do something with room and board is just slavery with a justification.

  • The amount of time they stated that he had five minutes… ;)

  • That’s actually kinda neat.

I imagine that the transcribing isn’t perfect either, so I assume they introduced some too.

  • Ah, I buy a lot of old scifi, so this is from 1984, little more excusable giving the lack of modernization. It’s gone past more than a few eyes, and yet I still caught it.

  • I have those everytime I have breakfast, little egg yolk, yumm.

  • I fail to see which one of dictionary.com’s 38 definitions of natural supports calling an air conditioner a natural dehumidifier.

It’s not a “natural humidifier” why are you clumping those two words into a singular item?

    Also…

There’s your own TIL, you can make a post now! You really are intentionally obtuse, you literally explained how an ac naturally dehumidifies that air, but dance around using the proper term since you’ve got it in your head that it was misused, even so far as to ignore a dictionary definition.

    Edit, here’s another

Nothing to do with nature or anything else, but bloviate dude.

And here’s professionals using the term.

Here’s why this happens: Your AC acts as a natural dehumidifier. During the air cooling process, moisture is collected from the air, condensed on coils, and then drained away.

How many more examples do you need? I can go and find a special example for each of your asinine claims here.

  • Are you arguing physics aren’t a part of nature…?

Also, natural has more than a single definition, you’re being intentionally obtuse by focusing on one. It also doesn’t mean it’s part of “nature”.
