  • AI is quite impressive... if it's used PROPERLY. Your ass is literally fucking injecting it into EVERYTHING just so you and your shareholders get more money from rubes. I don't want AI on my operating system. I want it to make stuff like enemies in videogames smarter, or to find out cancer cells, or anything of that sort.     Spoiler: killing people who are doing literally nothing wrong doesn't actually demoralize the population, it makes them MORE MAD AT YOU. In fact, several of them will go "well if they're shooting us for peaceful protesting we might as well drop this peaceful shit and shoot back, at least we won't be mowed down like dogs".

    This has happened so many times all over the fucking world that I just wonder if being a politician requires being stupid enough to not have any fucking survival skills whatsoever, or any sense of cause/effect.

  • Brazilian here, your point about cars is very nice, but, as much as compact hatches are still the biggest sellers, Brazil has unfortunately been suffering very hard with the whole "SUVfication" bullshit. It's to the point where some car manufacturers will just make a small hatch family car slightly larger, give it like 3 more inches of ground clearance, somewhat bigger wheels, and then call it an SUV, and all the soccer moms flock to it like lemmings (this is the entire philosophy behind the Renault Kardian. It's literally just a Gen III Dacia Sandero with different body panels and lights that is a little taller off the ground).
