    Does it suck? Personally it sucks more to breathe the same air or exist in the same spaces as these libs. Let them wall themselves off, eventually they will be walled off from the vast majority of humanity that is looking on in disgust at them- and then hopefully in time that wall will close in, and those who cannot develop the human decency to leave their wretched spaces will go straight to the dustbin of history.

  • Kindred Spirits on the Roof is an absolutely cozy yuri VN! And for a more- interesting one I have to infinitely reccomend Seabed, which is a kinetic (linear) novel dealing with- mystery and grief to best explain it without spoilers (I think). Seabed is so absolutely lovely, I played it on the Switch and had to get it on Steam as well and- IDK, it just sticks with me even years later.

    We Know the Devil is another wonderful, if short, queer VN.

    Faerie's Bargain: The Price of Business is also peak goblin merchant energy and queer AF.

    And Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is awesome as well, with working-class and (accurate history to what I recall? anyways touching on the ugly subjects so CW maybe) Americana IMO.

    With major CWs as well for SA/misogyny/etc- I have to reccomend Analogue: a Hate Story.

    Other than that have to agree with 999... played it literally over a decade back as a kid but it was fun. I have a few of the other games mentioned here on my to-do list or wishlist.

    Others on my to-do list (good enough I already own no less) among many others would include: Amelie, Heaven Will Be Mine, Scarlet Hollow, Mamiya, I was a Teenage Exocolonist, Lay a Beauty to Rest: the Darkness Peach Blossom Spring, and Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk. And AI: the Somnium Files, which my partner really enjoyed from my library, though I've not played yet 😅

    And while you probably also know them already, I gotta recommend the Ace Attorney and Monster Prom series. And while it's not quite a VN, I have to infinitely recommend Disco Elysium (but you've also probs heard of it)

    I can somewhat understand (while wholly disagreeing with and condemning) actual USian "MAGA 'communists,'" because recognizing the country you live in is basically the champion of all modern evils, the cause or inspiration of much of it, and an unjustifiable genocidal-settler aberration is a tough sell.

    There's no explanation for this from non-AmeriKKKans, even from patsocs or nazbols. This is just... pitiful, pathetic.

  • As a fellow Canadian- you're fringe, within this shithole settler-colonial country, and within a presumably very liberal institution at that.

    The majority of humanity stands with us, whether for the right reasons or not. The mentality your professor represents will ultimately be a self-defeating one, as this country increasingly goes to shit and the world rises and liberates itself from western "civilization" in turn. From west Africa, to India, to China, and increasingly in the west and around the world, people are cheering on Russia, cheering on the anti-imperialist, multipolar movement and axis of resistance- for right reasons or misguided (but still convenient) ones. Humanity will win, no matter the cost. The liberal, imperialist ideology is the global fringe- and when it is over, it will be but a smear on history, one hopefully treated like ISIS, like the Nazis, one which will hopefully never know a second of peace till each adherent is reeducated or in a coffin.

    Hopefully in time you'll be able to step out of this shithole. That's my hope for myself as well. The world is full of humanity, hell, even the west is full of silenced humanity for all that its elites and institutions wholly lack any sense of it.
