  • Maybe they can get a deal for electric cars and solar with China? Cuba is one of those places that could use an 800lb gorilla in their corner.

  • Insult and injury on top: If you use EBT for food, you can't buy warm food. Despite deli counter food often being fairly cheap, you aren't allowed to enjoy a nice warm meal. You can't buy a $10 baked pizza, 24 pieces of chicken for $26, or the $5 rotisserie. No, you must always homecook, with all the extra effort and time that requires.

EBT is good, but the richies obviously think that poverty is inherently a sin. The carrot is also a stick, and will be used to paddle the backside of people who aren't "good" in the eyes of the wealthy.

  • If I were a super perfect president of the United States, I would ask Cuba if they want to join the Union, with all rights and benefits that goes with being a State. This offer also would be extended to territories like Puerto Rico.

IMO, Cuba and other island States have a special potential - as places to try out UBI, universal healthcare, free education at all levels, and other reforms, that can't be easily implemented in isolation* on the mainland.

*Specifically, I want to try different variations of implementation, to find the best 'recipe' for an improved democratic socialism. Islands are good for A/B/C testing, I wager.

  • 'Accident'. 🙄

  • It is clear that the nation is in desperate need of a Reconstruction.

  • When it comes to pardons, congress should be forced to vote on them, or they lose their voting privilege and access to briefs for a month. If the yeas don't reach 51%, it doesn't go forward. Also, attach their name and vote to the record for the pardons, so that we know who are dipshits.

Right now, pardons are just excuses for bribes and corruption, not a tool for securing justice or national security. Honestly, it feels hard to justify their existence at all.

  • The man is a unicorn, unfortunately.

  • Ramen bowls cost more than cups or basic packages. They are a bit bigger, and have some extra flavoring, and can be prepped at 1 in the morning without having to wash dishes.

The cup style has too little water for my taste, and I don't feel comfortable balancing a cup of hot ramen back to my room. The bowl stuff just feels better for me, ergonomically speaking.

  • That sucks for me. I like their chicken honey biscuit sandwiches and Dave's Triples. Haven't gone often, due to money getting tighter.

Anyhow, time to use my leftovers for a midnight meal. I am using a $3 bowl of Nissin ramen, plus the remnants of a Kirkland pot roast and some buttered yams, alongside a spot of Better than Bullion.

I stockpile several of these pot roasts ($17ish apiece) each CostCo trip, and find them especially grand in a savory stew if I dice them up.

  • This is my position. Just kill them and move on, we need to make humanity better. There are people who need rescue and care.

Mind, we should keep monsters like Maxwell alive for awhile...so that we can get information about where the innocent have been trafficked. One entire year for all the actionable information that Maxwell and company are willing to trade. No bargaining, nor exceptions, just a delayed execution after the plea deal is struck. Without the deal, immediate execution after a brief trial.

...I am hoping that there are enough little black books, that delayed justice isn't needed to save the innocent.

  • If you have played System Shock 2, it is along those lines.

  • Hm. There is a pair of Star Trek adventure games, called 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites. They are essentially an extra season of TOS, and are quite good.

  • Fuck being calm. Rightwingers keep assaulting normies and our own, because they had suffered no consequences. We should change that, forever. It is easy to be conservative, when you don't pay for the wrongs you commit.

  • If they don't fuck off, I am standing with you, Second Amendment in hand.

  • My guess is that smaller media are investigating, but quietly. As we have seen in the Caribbean, the Regime is happy to sink "enemies" without warning. Investigators have a real chance of being fed to alligators, if they are caught by ICE.

  • One would assume that a robotic body would have devices and supplement cartridges for that, automatically monitored and regulated. The human body is a machine - but a robotic version would be actually optimally designed, rather than an endless variety of useful accidents. Even better, you can move the brain into different vessel shapes, each built for a particular purpose.

In any case, converting a fleshy brain's memories into an computerized format would be preferable. Unfortunately, I suspect that is hard to pull off without being lossy or fatal.

  • It would be like Robot Wars, but with a lot more strategies. Rock wall climb? Hover boots, piledriver spikes, gecko skin, and so on. Someone should make an anime or show focused on robosports.
