Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I've spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.

Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.

Just don't ask who what's in the pattern buffer.

  • Surely the article title means "again", as he has done so repeatedly.

  • This is definitely what sane, rational people do.

  • Damn, I need this on one of my shirts. Unfortunately the only local place I knew of that did screen printing closed down and I'm not ordering from a website...

  • Why are these pansy fucks complaining?

    Money.

  • Every time my wife and I get passed by another lifted 350, one of us usually goes, in a sing-song voice, "tiny penis" to which the other responds, *clap-clap-clapclap-clap"

Or at least we used to. It's so common now it's not funny anymore.

Car companies could make sensible smaller vehicles that give proper balance to comfort, safety, and serviceablility. Instead they want more money and to follow the least amount of regulations, so now everything has to be big and terrible for both the environment and people. They unilaterally decided "fuck everyone who isn't in one of our cars"

My city just installed another new lane down the main shopping area and made the existing ones wider to accommodate the huge spike in larger vehicles since covid.

So far it's caused several accidents because they shifted the lanes over and the lines are poorly marked right now, so some people are continuing straight while others swerve into them with the lines.

Also it's mostly to put in "turn only" lanes along the right side, but with how many people are turning it just congests as people try to "get around the slow traffic" and end up trying to merge with 2 car lengths before the intersection.

Yes, I have very strong opinions on these matters, how did you guess?

  • I like it, but for some reason I don't like it as the intro.

It totally fits the theme like you say, it definitely has an uplifting hopeful tone.

But it's just out of place in my brain, so I skip it while watching the show.

Doesn't stop me from jamming out to it in the car.

  • I don't care for a lot of discovery, but I can't say it's not entertaining. I have made it to season 2 episode 9 so far. Not sure why but I stopped there and picked up another show.

It doesn't rank in my top 3 series, but it's not deserving of all the hate it gets.

I love strange new worlds, haven't seen the newest season yet but I'm working on rewatching the whole series.

I haven't seen Picard, and honestly I don't think I will. I won't pass judgment on it's quality, as I haven't seen any of it, but I know enough to know I might be disappointed.

And if I'm being honest with myself I just want to keep the nostalgia of TNG the way it is: Pretending Nemesis never happened.

The new shows are overall good. Every show has its hits and misses. I skip a lot of season 1 TNG.

And I skip the intro of every Enterprise episode. No, I don't have enough faith, at least not while watching the show. It's a banger though and in my Playlist.

It's okay to not like the new shows, it's not okay to shit on other people who do.

  • Does anyone for a moment think any article would use the phrase "Saudi/North Korean/Chinese president 'closes' US airspace" in any way if it were a threat to the US?

  • Is Switzerland full of sexist people who think "someday I'LL be rich so I don't want to tax MYSELF more, hypothetically maybe in the distant future"?

  • why they fuck is anyone taking their word?

    ... You know why.

  • The original headline was something like "Cuomo says he's moving to Mexico if Mamdani wins"

But damn do I wish he would do it anyway.

  • Understandable.

It's a fairly middle-of-the-road, while being catchy and therefore played all over the place.

I've felt similar about a lot of popular songs in recent years. They just feel bland, but some parts still get stuck in my head every so often.

  • Executives should be forced work their lowest paid company position, and be dumped in an apartment with absolutely nothing.

    See how long they survive.

You can talk to me about my work-life balance when I'm not putting the healthy option back because it's more expensive than the cheap unhealthy ultra processed bullshit and I can't justify the expense.

  • I lost my grandmother and my sister is currently in treatment, both my parents are showing symptoms but don't have money for Healthcare and refuse to go into medical debt. I myself am sitting on top of a handful of symptoms I'm willfully ignoring hoping they'll go away.

    It is a heartwarming post.

Just seems like a weird place to be negative.

  • I don't want it dismantled.

    That leaves pieces around.

I want it destroyed. I want it incinerated. I want it dead. I want it's whole family dead. And I want it's house burned to the ground.

  • I believe the expected response should have been "I apologize , but I won't engage in conversations with hurtful language. Can I assist you with something else?"

Dumbass Avian Intelligence can't even follow it's own rules...

  • Would this not be subconsciously telling the child "if you get in my way I will punish you"?

  • As someone who tries to eat less meat in general because climate change and cows are basically giant grass eating slightly smellier dogs, I cannot take anyone who unironically uses "carnist" and "bloodmouth" seriously from that point on.

The more names you use to describe "person who eats meat" that you think are insulting and derogatory, the more people roll their eyes and move on with their planned meal.

  • Looks like a game based on the pixellated stuff at the bottom, probably battlefront? Not sure since I haven't played all the games recently.
