  • I just reflect how it feels to get such bad feedback without any real feedback in it.

    Feedback includes many types of input but not: Disliking it because of personal opinion, because service x rated your favorite news page badly.

    My feedback to that emotional feedback was just my emotion back to it.

    If we wanted everyones opinion on MBFC yes then we would loved this response from you. But feedback is not just MBFC BAD!!!!!!!!

    What if theoretically give you feedback on your math test: "0 Points Because ITS BAD!!!!!" Then you would think why was it bad? The formula ? The results? The readability? Or were my books that i read bad?

  • That was sadly the point why we didnt recognized that as feedback, rather as just being childish because some site said some bad things about their favorite news page.

    At least we got some real feedback that were constructive. We will implement those and deploy it.

  • You can even be better than that! You can make a community that fact check news article / news pages. Then we can add the threads from that community to the bot and have there news page specific discussion.

  • Thanks for the feedback. With the new format we will think about it, but i think this is pretty good.

    We will discuss this and come back to you. We would love to open sourc ethe bot but the code quality for reading is not in a good state. We will have to clean the code up. But we will be working for that.

    And you overexaggerated how much impact it really has on people. I have the feeling i am speaking with just some peoples alt here, just my suspicion.

    Like said, if you dont like it block it. Like with everything else on the platform. Dont get you angry over a bot.

    The feedback is "MBFC BAD, DELETE IT, ITS A THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY"

    No improvement idea? No... thats NOT feedback, thats just crying around.

    Something like MBFC NEEDS to be here, not all mods can fact check each and every news page and inform the users with it. ( This would probably get the same shitstorm like this because "THE MOD XYZ FACT CHECK IS BAD, BAN HIM, HE IS A THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY" will come up too )

    So what would you recommend? That is doable for free and no one dislikes it? ( Deleting the bot is NOT an option )

    If you have a better Fact Check page you trust let me know, i would LOVE to implement that into the bot.We were already thinking about making a "public" open source github repo where people could contribute their fact checks and trusted people review it. ( BUT this will get the same shitstorm like the previous 2, because some people have something against their news page being (in their eyes) "wrongly" fact checked and marked.

    Do you see the trouble the "MBFC BAD ewww" and no resolution is causing here?

    Please in the love of god ( or not god ) use the block button. I will lock these posts if shitpost comments like these are still coming.

    Sry, i am a little pissed, that no one sees the block on their website/app.

  • They have a point but strict fake news it isnt. It is not an option to leave it without any second bias opinion. Its not banning anyone. If you dislike it and demand it to be shutdown for democracy. Then you arent allowing other opinions.

  • No we dont. We saw the expected "ReMoVe ThE BoT" comments, because MBFC did hurt their feelings by not rating their favourite newspage the highest creditability on earth.

    And just block it, then you can imagine how it is without the bot.
