  • That's mostly Bricky's take too and I tend to agree.

Using AI in these callouts makes adding them easier and quicker for new items added to the game.

That's actually the studio's claim and if their claims of paying the VA's for their voice and further paying royalties to them is true, alongside their claim that it is only used for callouts, than I agree, I don't think it's much of an issue. The full on use on characters tho it's just shitty. If it produced actually good results like they did with machine learning for the robots movements, then at the very least they could have an argument for it, but it would still be weird.

  • I didn't even know the Alan Wake games were made by Remedy when I first opened Control lol, I only found out about that because there's an ad for Alan Wake 2 on Control's title screen, but after I started the game I immediately become interested in trying the Alan Wake series too.

  • I started Control a couple of days ago and so far it's a blast, so I'll be playing that. I didn't expect to like it so much out of the gate, also didn't know it has such big SCP vibes. I decided to give it a go after the sequel's trailer on TGA.

I'll also be replaying Portal. I would've started Portal 2 which I haven't played outside multiplayer, but I'm using it to learn Gyro + Flick Stick so I can play shooters on my PS5 since almost no multiplayer shooter supports Linux and I got the itch to play one again lol.

  • I doubt our military is on alert, it's honestly more likely that they'd welcome the US soldiers. And even if they were we literally can't afford confrontation with the US, last I checked we only have ammunition for a few hours of direct confrontation in a war.

    Shit's bleak.

  • Why the long face little bud

  • Honestly, just stick to what you like. I've been using Linux for years now and didn't really distrohop. I started with Manjaro, shortly after went to Solus, after a long time then went Nobara and now I'm on Bazzite for more than year, but it was mostly because of issues I found along the way until I got to the one where I basically have none right now.

It's cool to do if you're into trying it or if you want to try other DEs, but it would probably be best to test it on a virtual machine or on your browser.

But I do think atomic distros are generally better and should be more recommended.

  • you can click on the book looking button at the top left to set it to auto-hide the sidebar, there's also mods you can install in the settings that might change it
