  • The IT folk doesn't have any power in big companies. They get told what to install by higher management. And higher management usually knows fuckall about computers but does listen to consultants and fancy buzzwords which is something Microsoft is insanely good at.

  • Time to clean your keyboard.

  • Kept ya waiting huh?

  • Because I have a metric shitload of them available. Indeed if i was going to order fresh cells 21700 is better especially for a home battery system.

  • The plan is to have it function as a home battery, connected to either a solar panel or a small balcony wind turbine. I also want to charge it when the electricity cost is low and discharge when the electricity cost is high on average.

Another part of the project is to build a grid-tied inverter.

  • Ooh, a deshittified version of imgur? Or did you invent time travel?

  • Thanks! There's about 3mm space in between the batteries so air would easily flow through. I'm not sure if that is preferable though, ideally the cells do not get warm at all.

  • Yeah. I see what you mean. I find it acceptable for certain use cases like a quick showcase for stuff I want to share freely anyway.

    It's a bad habit.

  • Okay so if I want to print a gun I'll just tighten an eccentric nut or belt tensioner. Lol

  • I think a dual nozzle system is already good enough for most users. Especially when your print area is large enough to make it feasible.

  • WAF had me laugh out loud.

  • You described Dutch cuisine in general.

  • We have Wireshark at home.

  • That's basically 40k.

  • Not at all! They could be carried!

  • Yeah. True. I'm a programmer of those things and I make an effort to be as efficient as possible with tips, ie mixing with the same tip and compensating accuracy for it. It's more difficult but worth the effort imo.

Also reuse for things like reagents makes a big difference.

  • I know. They're definitely not environment friendly. Still much better than manual pipetting.
