  • Still is up here in winter when it's -30 outside.

  • I've always used them so you can leave the car running or in accessory mode (leave the radio on) and still unlock the doors/trunk/glovebox.

  • And that set the wheels in motion to create me. After their town was leveled by the Germans in ww2 my grandparents came to Canada where my mom met my dad.

  • Oh for sure. Wouldn't surprise me if we do get it eventually, but at least with all we know now about it and with all the medical advancements, it's not quite as big of a deal as it originally was.

Which is especially good for me, because I have pulmonary fibrosis (scarred lungs from working in dusty environments) so it's something I'd prefer to avoid as long as I can.

  • I'm pleasantly surprised that me and both my daughters all managed to avoid it somehow. Several people we know were not so lucky, and an ex co-worker lost his wife because of it.

We did take it seriously and masked up, got our shots, washed our hands etc and somehow got through it. Was actually kind of nice because I hadn't been sick at all for over 6 years.

  • I'm glad I've managed to avoid getting covid, I don't have the IQ to spare.

  • I'm almost there... moved everything important over to protonmail a few years back, just haven't deleted my 20 yr old gmail account yet because it's tied to an old phone that I still use for apps and taking cat pics, and in case there's something I forgot to change.

I get roughly 1 or two emails a month from places I'm not willing to give my good email to and that's about it.

  • Canada here. Winter never, unless we have a rare warm (above -10c/14f) day. Spring as often as I can if/when it's nice enough outside. Summer usually open until the temps get around 27c/80f then closed and the air conditioner on.

I live in a roughly 100 yr old house though, so with all the cracks etc this place tends to self-ventilate anyway.

  • Damn nice shot. Practice makes perfect.

  • Well, if you happen to be in Canada around the beginning of August...

I'm getting old, can't do that kind of shit anymore without suffering for it for days afterwards but it sure was fun at the time though.

  • I had saved up over $1300 from odd jobs/paper route in my teens just for it. On my 18th, I bought 30 hits of acid and a few cases of beer for me and my friends, rented a motel room under a different name 80 miles from home, and partied for about 2 days.

  • I'm in Manitoba, we're expecting up to a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow.

Not really unusual weather for the time of year here aside from slightly warmer temps. We usually get a good storm or two before spring graces us with her presence.

  • Anyone paying attention should know by now, we even had a conservative MP wearing a Maga hat the last time Orange Julius was voted in.

  • Oh so the batteries are good, I just need a new tv every time I use the remote.

  • Ah, That explains why this remote is so long.

  • I think I found the remote to change this godawful channel but the batteries are dead.

  • I would have no objections to literally spray painting that lower screen Tremclad Black. Is that all the tv can do though? I would imagine it's also stealing as much data of yours as it can and possibly even listening in. Also what if there's ad sound...?

  • Stick him on the SS Minnow.

  • Yup, exactly. It wouldn't matter who you report it to, it'll just get sent to the right people.
