  • Thanks for the info! Do you know anything about the mine laying capabilities of the IRGC? I've heard that submarines can lay mines, but I'm not sure if the Iranian subs have that capability, and it would probably be difficult mine the entire strait with surface vessels, considering how close they have to get to the UAE and Oman.

  • They should be able to keep it closed with just Shahed-136 (depending on what targeting system they use) drones which they have plenty of. I can’t say I’m very familiar with naval mine laying or disposal, but I believe they could also mine the strait.

    I think we will see in the coming hours and days more attacks on oil facilities, but closing the straits is the fastest way to stop the export of oil.
