    Ansonsten heißt es für Fahrradfahrer immer, fahrt so als wären alle anderen betrunken und dement. Also immer davon ausgehen nicht gesehen worden zu sein und LKW Fahrern gegenüber einfach auf die Vorfahrt verzichten.

  • Look I get it, it's not like I can't see it happening in Europe right now too. And it's not like I know the answer on how to combat the right most effectively. Argueing amongst ourselves on the best approach or even feeling left out so much you choose to stay in between the collective left and the extreme right has however not helped us at all. If anything we are where we are because we keep infantilising or villainizing those we don't agree with on specific subjects while we forget that there are plenty that not only disagree with on the way we want democracy to play out, but on the "if".

    Keep argueing and discussing on matters but never lose sight of the fact that you both want the best for your country and its people and ylu certainly want to keep the basic rights and democracy. Maybe you cannot agree on much, but keep in mind that you are in agreement on the most fundamental of all matters, you are democrats (not in the party way).

    If all we do is nitpick about how bad similar minded parties, groups, etc. are, how do you expect to win against the right, when the conservatives don't mind working with literal Nazis who don't have a problem being supported by literally anyone that cares about destroying your country?

    Yes the Democratic party has a lot of problems and as a German I would be fuming if I would have to vote for them, but when the Reps are the alternative, then I'd rather have the idiot capitalists in power instead of the fascists. I would then use the time after the Dems were elected to force the party to change or prop up an alternative. And this is true for every country currently dealing with Nazis trying to take power. And I am looking at you here @fort_burp@feddit.nl

  • Das ist auch schon wieder so eine Rollenverdrehung. Die UN kann niemals irgendetwas garantieren solange es ein Gremium wie den Sicherheitsrat gibt und eines der ständigen Mitglieder Teil des Problems ist, wie hier Russland.

    Der Grund für die Forderung nach Nato-Präsenztruppen liegt in der Erkenntnis, dass Sicherheitsgarantien nichts wert sind, wenn es um Nuklearmächte geht und insbesondere dann, wenn der Aggressor bekannt dafür ist Abmachungen und Verträge nicht einzuhalten, bspw. Russland und Budapest-Memorandum.

    Das du das gekonnt ignorierst ist im übrigen der Grund warum du nicht grundlos als Russland-Apolegist bezeichnet wirst. Einen ähnlichen Tag hast du bei mir auch.

  • Es ist aber eben qualitativ ein Unterschied ob ein Krieg aus Einflussgründen geführt wird um einen Regierungswechsel zu erreichen, wie es viele Länder mitunter USA und Russland gemacht haben, oder aus territorialen Interessen. Dies hat seit dem zweiten Weltkrieg abseits der Kolonialkriege kein Land gemacht.

    Das Russland jeglichen casus belli auf Hanebüchene Erklärungen stützt ist nur das Sahnehäubchen

  • I was hoping Merz would publicly advise european banks on withdrawing investments in dollar and in AI firms as those could become volatile over the Greenland matter. You don't even have to specify how, but the leader of the 4th largest economy of the world should have sway on the markets. Let the USA feel that they themselves are very much dependent on Europe and NATO
