Disclaimer: smoking is a nasty habit, and it's better to never start than to try to quit.
That being said, it's pretty crazy how smoking cigarettes brings people together. I'm very reluctant to talk to people I don't know, but if I go out for a smoke and I see a few other people smoking outside, they instantly became my new best friends.
Funny thing about Young Sheldon, When I started watching it, I had never watched Big Bang Theory, and honestly, now that I have, I don't even really like it, but Young Sheldon is better than it deserves to be.
Weed definitely does the opposite for me. I get inside my head and overthink what I'm about to say and eventually realize the topic has changed and do it all over again.
Alcohol makes me the most outgoing person on the planet.
I'll ask my wife, because she's been consuming a lot of racism lately. (Lots of civil war era books, with a strong focus on the injustices against black people.)
Off the top of my head there's of course, Roots.
We also watched the Free State of Jones. It's based on a true story that puts you in the shoes of a Rebel soldier who goes AWOL, and befriends a group of runaway slaves.
Since you know your friend better than any of us, you might want to watch any suggestions alone, and possibly even search online for an in depth analysis of it before presenting it to your friend. That way you can be prepared to intelligently discuss any topics that might come up.
EDIT: My wife reminded me of American History X, which is more anti KKK than pro-black, but it's also much more modern and VERY graphic.
Thanks for asking this. I've always known light and paint worked on different color systems, but I never really understood the why behind it. Great answers!
Makes sense to me. I live in the middle of nowhere, and although my work isn't very far from my home, half the year it would be impossible to walk there without having snow up to my knees, falling on ice or getting drenched from rain.
It's not like we all supported him and then we all saw what he was doing and hated him.
About 25% of Americans Voted for Trump.
About 24.5% of Americans Voted for Harris.
The rest didn't bother to vote, or were ineligible (too young, non- citizen, convicted felon etc.)
He might have lost a few supporters from his actions on office, but the ones that voted for him are mostly still cheering him on, because he's telling them that he's doing a good job, and they don't question it because their team is "winning".
The rest of us who hated him, still hate him and want him removed ASAP, but he has enough money and powerful friends to keep him safe (for now).
It's true, it's also very disorienting for me when I encounter someone taller than me. It's not often that I have to look up at someone, so it feels VERY strange when I do.
Aww, I still remember singing along to Radio/Video with my daughter when she was two.
She'll be graduating college in May. 💀
